I really want to thank the owners and all of the staff at the Cross Foxes for the warm welcome and friendly hospitality.
This is such a great place to stay; the rooms are decorated and furnished in a modern style yet some original features meant there was plenty of character, and no expense was spared with the little extras here and there which really set the place apart from the many other places I have stayed at previously.
The bar was nice, as was the restaurant which served great value, high quality meals as well as a good selection of reasonably priced wines. In addition, the breakfasts were excellent, offering locally sourced produce, cooked and presented well.
All in all I can't say enough to praise this place. It's well worth a visit, especially since it's ideally located close to lots of tourist attractions including Mount Snowdon.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- Mark and Sharon, the new owners of The Cross Foxes Hotel, extend a warm and friendly welcome to visitors to our part of Wales. We are currently refurbishing the hotel and have been advised that a WTB 3 star grade is a probable outcome. Visitors will delight in the location as the views from the hotel are spectacular, situated as we are a few hundred feet above sea level. As well as the fabulous fishing available at Trawsfynydd Lake, we are only about 5 miles away from the Coed-y-Brenin National Mountain Bike and Ski Centre. We could go on about how fantastic it is around here but why don't you come see for yourself. ... more less
