We paid £155 to stay one night b an b. Room looked great on entering no.6 I think. Went into bathroom and was disappointed with the mould all around the bath and that they had clear silicone sealed over the top of it. Went to have shower freezing cold even after it was ran water for 10 mins. Ran bath and Luke warm water came out. Next morning greeted by mediocre breakfast. Talked to receptionist next morning who was very rude and said we needed to run it for more than 10 mins and we should have reported it late last night. We explained we arrived late and wanted our family to go bed not have maintenance guys banging around at 10pm. Asked to speak to manager told no. Eventually did after persisting. Given 15% off our bill. Shame hotel has potential.

I booked a birthday celebration for twenty-four people for afternoon tea. There were three tables of eight in a private room. I expected a dainty afternoon tea but my heart fell when the tea and the sandwiches were brought in.The tea was served in large metal teapots, one per table meaning one guest had to serve all the others as handing a hot, heavy metal teapot around the table would have been difficult. The sandwiches were piled onto dinner plates, one plate for each table, making it difficult to choose the sandwich fillings.
The hotel had been given two weeks notice that one of the guests was vegetarian. Yet, on the day, after all the other sandwiches had been brought in, this guest had to wait while a plate of vegetarian sandwiches were made for her.
On the positive side, the venue was lovely, the food was good and there was enough of it,the cakes and scones were served on tiered cake stands, and the waitress was very helpful. It just wasn't the quintessential dainty afternoon tea that I expected.

Fortunately (it seems) we did not stay here but did book a table for 10 to celebrate my sons graduation. The food was nasty, overpriced and the lamb particularly inedible. It was the same consistency as a piece of rubber tyre and refused to be cut with a knife. We took it home for the dogs who also struggled with it for a while! The fish smelt very strong and I would question its freshness. The risotto was under cooked so the rice was still hard and lacked any real flavour. Apparently the soup tasted as it looked, like dishwater. I was bitterly disappointed and would have complained if there had been any staff around to complain to, they were very conspicuous by their absence. I am doing the very British thing of complaining after the event and voting with my feet. I will never frequent this place again and I feel really sorry for anyone who has booked a wedding there if this is the standard of food they serve.

I have visited the Miskin Manor Hotel on quite a number of occasions, Christmas parties, weddings etc.
The character of the hotel is beautiful, it is situated in the most beautiful surroundings.
But sadly there are major down falls to this hotel. The staff, on every occasion I have visited are unhelpful, rude, and lack enthusiasm.
The food is very poor, our Christmas party was very dissappointing, the standard and quality of food served was tasteless and over cooked.
The Hotel inside is tired looking, worn and is in need of a major refurbishment, it also has a slight odour.
I wouldn't recommend booking a wedding or a Christmas party, you will be disappointed.
Such a waste !

Had afternoon tea in the beautiful grounds. It was a glorious sunny day and so peaceful. We have had afternoon tea at other hotels but this was by far the best. The service was excellent and the food lovely. Cannot fault. The young man who served us was very helpful and polite. Faultless.

We only stayed one night, but overall the stay was okay.
The room did not have a view and did have some sort of air conditioning unit right outside the window so that was unpleasant.
The TV was very small and it was put right in the corner so could not watch it from the bed.
The bed was very uncomfortable and we only had one pillow each which was very poor.
The room could have done with a make over.
We ate in the restaurant and it was lovely food and the staff were all very friendly.
Breakfast was included in the price and we could not fault it.
The grounds of the hotel were so beautiful and well kept.

Room Tip: Top floor would be the best for a nice room with a view.

The wedding was perfect in all respects but the hotel left a lot to be desired, I paid £155 for one night expecting a 5 star experience but only got 3 star. Room was huge but desperately needs a makeover. Uncomfortable bed and tiny tv. Had to put tea trAy on the floor as that was the nearest socket for the kettle. Breakfast was poor in terms of quality and choice - all in all I have had better in Holiday Inn Express for half the money.
