“Great food, extremely poor service”
Reviewed 3 August 2014 via mobile

We went to Daft Eddy's to celebrate a family occasion as a few of my family had been there before and loved it. I can't fault the food at all but the service was absolutely absymal. Our party of 10 was served by about 8 different staff over the 3 hours we where there. Some of them didn't seem to know what was going on. Orders were forgotten and empty dishes left on the table for the entire time we where they are just a few of the examples of the overall sub par service. I'm hoping this was just a once off but if anyone from management is reading this review you might want to consider getting your waiting staff to cover sections in the restaurant and not keep with the free-for-all disorganised approach currently being used!

“Surprise Lunch”
Reviewed 3 August 2014 via mobile

A friend surprised me with a lunch here.
It was a beautiful day. This restaurant is set in beautiful surroundings. Very romantic.

Food - It was just ok. As a veggie I didn't find it very appetising although at least it wasn't risotto, beetroot and goats cheese. Can't bare being served the same thing over and over again.

Staff were very pleasant.

We had a nice lunch but I wouldn't be dashing back.

“Lunch as good as dinner!”
Reviewed 1 August 2014

Already mentioned great surroundings and friendly, down to earth staff. Lunch is fairly expensive (£78 for four lunches with dessert and drinks) but the ingredients are fresh.
Timings are 12:00hrs -14:30hrs. Get yourself there.

“Evening meal”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

Fair only. Waiting staff not on top of the game. The order was made perfectly clear at the bar-two starters as mains; to be brought at same time as all other mains-they still arrived early as starters. Cutlery brought late in all cases after food was getting cold on tables. Disorganised. Too many 'sorries.' Food was passable if very unimaginative.

“beautiful surroundings for dinner!”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

After a beautifully hot day we decided to go to Daft Eddy's for our evening meal. Unsurprisingly it was very busy but there was plenty of space. We sat in the new extension which has glass half way up and the rest open. The menu had a good choice and service was reasonable swift bearing in mind it was busy. Our food was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
