“An excellent B&B with wonderful hosts”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 July 2014

I booked 1 night here as my husband and I were going to the Balloo House restaurant for a birthday treat. It is the closest B&B to Balloo House and only took us about 6 or 7 minutes to walk there. We were so impressed with the Mill and can't recommend it highly enough. we stayed in the river room downstairs with the conservatory right next to a beautiful relaxing river. It was like a secluded little hideaway. The room is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Everything felt luxurious and comfortable - the bed was great quality, the bathroom was spacious and had a fantastic shower. We had lovely carafes of water by each side of the bed, tea and coffee on arrival and homemade traybakes. Breakfast was perfect - just the right amount of food and cooked in a very healthy way (not overly greasy). I loved the fresh strawberries and raspberries to start! Paul and Janice have created an excellent establishment and seem to be very laid back and enjoying life so it helps you feel the same way!

Stayed over to facilitate a trip to Balloo to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The accommodation is wonderful - we stayed in the river room which has it's own conservatory overlooking the small river that's runs along the back of the house - comfy bed, great shower. Warm welcome from Janice on arrival and then Paul cooked a wonderful breakfast for us the following morning. It was great that it's only a 5 minute walk to Balloo - meant we could forget about the car and not have to worry about taxis. Excellent B&B - can't wait to return - will probably choose the beamed room next time, which Paul showed us around before our departure.

It has been many years since I stayed in a b&b as I normally prefer a hotel but The Mill has totally changed my mind. The accommodation is of such a standard that if it was a hotel the room would have be completely out of our price range. This is not your standard accommodation, this is a very special place to stay. Paul and Janice are fantastic hosts and make you feel totally at ease. Please put The Mill on your list of places to stay and make sure you combine it with a visit to Northern Irelands finest restaurant, Upstairs @ Balloo House which is a very short walk from the b&b. Superb.

Brilliant hosts, a gorgeous room, and a delicious breakfast cooked by Paul. However we were cold for most of the time. I needed two pairs of socks in bed and getting out of bed and out of the shower were not pleasant experiences.

We would definitely go back in the summer but not again in the winter.

I stayed at the Mill with my Wife and Parents as part of a joint Xmas / birthday gift for my father. We had a little bit of trouble finding the place (drove past the turn off) but when we arrived and saw the inside of the place was totally worth it. Its an converted water mill which was refurbished about 4 years ago, which I couldn't believe as it looked like it had just been done. We stayed in the river room and my parents had the upstairs room, our bedroom was very large with a nice bathroom and adjoining conservatory which was beside the river. My parents room was even larger at the top of the house (the house has access at both levels as the ground drops down to the river). Breakfast the next morning was really tasty, best fry ive had in a good while, and the people who own the place are really really nice.

Would def recommend it and look forward to going back!

Room Tip: We had the river room and it was really nice, the other room is nice too but the river room is down...
