After 3 days in Dublin, we picked up a rental car and headed north on a meandering route through Counties Meath, Louth, and Down, trying to catch the flavor of small town Ireland. About 2p we were getting hungry when we passed through Dundrum and saw the tea shop. It was a great experience. Tea the way it is supposed to be served in individual pots and with cream. We had some with a treat, which was excellent. Then my wife picked up the menu again and said, "What else can I have?" So we ordered another treat, which was just as good. They don't take credit cards, and euros as well as dollars are foreign currency. But an ATM was a block away, so I picked up some pounds to pay the bill before heading on to Downpatrick and Belfast.
