“Great find!!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 September 2012 via mobile

Heading into Newcastle on a rare sunny day we decided to stop in Dundrum to grab lunch before facing the crowds. Delighted to have discovered the tea rooms. They served delicious homemade food in generous portions. Can't understand why they were so quiet-more people need to know about them. Some ice cream for my toddler would have been great- only negative!

Thank you for your review, I am so glad you enjoyed your visit & also got a sunny day for your trip to Newcastle. Whilst we don't serve ice-cream ourselves, we don't have an issue if customers want to pop into Brennan's garage next door & bring in an ice-cream or lolly for small children on a warm day, so if you happen to call again & want to do so then it won't be a problem. Hope to see you again!

“Great treats in a lovely Ulster town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 May 2012

After 3 days in Dublin, we picked up a rental car and headed north on a meandering route through Counties Meath, Louth, and Down, trying to catch the flavor of small town Ireland. About 2p we were getting hungry when we passed through Dundrum and saw the tea shop. It was a great experience. Tea the way it is supposed to be served in individual pots and with cream. We had some with a treat, which was excellent. Then my wife picked up the menu again and said, "What else can I have?" So we ordered another treat, which was just as good. They don't take credit cards, and euros as well as dollars are foreign currency. But an ATM was a block away, so I picked up some pounds to pay the bill before heading on to Downpatrick and Belfast.
