“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

We had an excellent meal in this lovely hotel restaurant. The staff were very efficient, attentive and friendly. There was a good selection on the menu and all reasonably priced. A lovely spot on the Ardnamurchan peninsular.

“It Sells Beer!”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

This hotel is in need of an update to bring it out of the 1950s. However, that is its charm I suppose. Our main purpose was to have a beer at the end of a long hot days walk so it served its purpose. The food looked good but we didnt eat there.

“A lovely stay and excellent food”
Reviewed 21 July 2014 via mobile

My father and I stayed at this hotel as a base for a mini cycling holiday. The location could not be better - facing out onto a beautiful loch the hotel sees the sun for most of the day and geographically you are perfectly placed to explore the west coast of Scotland any way you see fit.

Our rooms were very nice with tasteful decor and a large walk in 'soaker' style shower. Cleanliness was excellent. My fathers room looked straight out onto the loch which of course was a bonus.

The highlight for both of us was most certainly the food in the restaurant. This is regularly frequented by friendly locals (which speaks for itself) and residents alike, which gives the whole place a lovely atmosphere.

The menu was perfectly pitched with an adequate, but not overwhelming choice of local produce - with healthy appetites from cycling all day we ate 3 courses every night and there was not one average dish amongst them. We are mainly eat vegetarian, though enough nosing around at other dishes confirmed the meat and seafood lovers amongst you will not be disappointed either!

Seating wise, you could choose to savour the wonderful view in the substantial extension on the front, or you could sit in the main building which seemed a more formal setting. There is also a bar next to the restaurant - again frequented by friendly locals and a perfect place to sample a malt whiskey from their large collection.

Service was excellent and all our individual needs were catered for.

A great value stay and thoroughly recommended!

“Fantastic food and great service”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

Having got our days mixed up when we booked a table for dinner (we were on honeymoon!) the staff were slightly surprised to see us a day later than they thought, but happily found us a table.
The food was excellent, from the soup and the haggis and whisky cream pot for starters to the banoffee pie for dessert. The chicken and cous cous main was great, the chicken tender and moist and the cous cous really flavoursome, as was my wife's steak, which was cooked beautifully and had so much flavour.
The staff were great, from the welcome to chatting at the bar afterwards about their great selection of malt whisky.

“Friendly service, good food, great atmosphere”
Reviewed 14 July 2014

Friendly staff looked after us and served up a great meal to a hungry crowd. Good bar food in great surroundings. We had to make a last minute change to the booking but that was no problem and dealt with efficiently. A good select menu packed with local produce all fresh and delicious.
There was a good buzz in the hotel with lots of laughter (not just from us). The evening was helped by the impromptu Tango dance lesson and again the staff were more than happy to set up the sound system.
A great end to a wonderful week-end with our friends.
