You may not be lucky enough to stay here. The castle is let to groups to allow it to feel like home and it is very remote. If we win the lottery we are bringing our friends here. It's a 1900 country retreat on the shores of a sea loch and with outstanding views wherever you look. It's run by David and Lynne with a small team of locals and they are all wonderful. It does feel as if you have access to a grand home-little touches such as home made tablet always being out with the coffee shows the thought that has gone into the enterprise. Every meal is an occasion-David is a talented chef with wonderful local ingredients and nothing disappoints. If you are really lucky he will show you some recipes. The rooms do vary but that is part of the charm-if it was uniform and modern it would be spoilt. The bath water runs brown from the peat-you can pay a fortune for that in some spas! The pace of life slows there and it is very restorative. I cannot recommend it highly enough-and we fully intend to be back. Thank you all for a fabulous stay!
