Salen Jetty Shop
Ranked #3 of 7 Restaurants in Acharacle
Description: A well established grocer and cafe in the village of Salen, Ardnamurchan, owner operated by Paul and Anita Borthwick. This business is a welcome stop on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula and a convenient place for people using the jetty & pontoon facilities. The shop offers a wide range of grocery items, news papers and Scottish fare. Stop off for a Segafredo coffee, home bake, or hot soup.

Anyone visiting Ardnamurchan must pop into the Salen Jetty Shop. Other than picking up all your provisions and more you should stop and have a coffee and treat yourself to a homemade bite. The cappuccino is the best I have tasted, strong yet mellow and complimented with a yummy home made sausage roll. To finish, Anita has a selection of homemade cakes. The bakewell tart is delicious. Guess what, I'll be back.

Lovely new owners have made this a real asset to this area. It has lots of essentials plus some nice luxuries. Not the cheapest, but good quality produce. Lovely coffee and a good spot for breakfast or a light lunch. Weekly visits from local fishermen means you can pick up some lovely shellfish and fish to take home with you.

Stopped here whilst exploring the area. Delighted to find a clean, bright cafe/shop with superb coffee and 'to die for' apple cake, run by lovely couple - and the freshest fruit and veg we have seen on our travels out here in the wilds of Scotland. Hope to go again before we leave. Don't miss it!
