Visited today for the first time, a real treat for me as I am a massove owl lover! Great place with great staff who are friendly and more than happy to chat about the animals, it's great to see people who are so passionate about animals taking care of them.

For people who think it is 'over-priced' or 'tiny' its worth noting it's an animal sanctuary open to the public, consisting of mainly volunteers. £4 for an adult ticket is pocket change in comparison to many other public family attractions!! And the money goes towards the costly upkeep of the sanctuary. The only downside to the place is that you can't take an owl home with you...

We had a great time and we were approached by a member of staff who took a snake out for us. I have no doubt if you asked the volunteers anything they would be glad to help. We took about an hour to go round the owls and birds of prey and a dozen or so snakes and spiders. There was a small grass area and a couple of picnic tables and small play gym for tiny tots. If you timed it right you might see the animals being feed or the a birds of prey taken out. I'm sure if you called ahead the staff would tell you when.
The time there would be lovely on a good day as you could also take a forest walk.
For the people who wrote bad reviews I think it was because their expectations were wrong. This is not a swanky zoo but a small working rescue centre and the animals are not there to preform. They don't have a fancy cafe but you can get a cuppa and they have a few small items to buy.
If you enjoy spending an hours dander taking photos of lovely animals, having a picnic and taking a stroll in the forest this is the place for you.

Really nice place very interesting, plenty for the kids to do and well priced, but the best thing is Mike and his volunteers, we were made very welcome and everyone took time to speak to us, they make you feel like a neighbour visiting them at home. Wish we had went sooner and will be back.

Great day out beautiful birds and creepy crawlies. Definitely get the feeling when walking around and seeing the volunteers look after their animals that they have time for them and care for them. Sad that the birds are there due to being injured (which doesnt affect their viewing) or that their previous owners couldn't look after them anymore but their in a great home now. £4 entry fee for a brilliant day out definitely worth the money.

Visited the world of owls this morning. It was fantastic. Really good value for money. The staff are really knowledgeable and you get to see the owls and hawks up close. I highly recommend it.
