We took the kids to World of Owls a few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was amazed by how many different types of owls there were and we got to see them all, from the big to the small. There were also quite a number of birds of prey. To see them so close up was wonderful and I think my husband and I were as taken with the animals as our children were - although I'm not sure we would have wanted to get any closer to the snowy owls who were making their displeasure at our presence known! The staff were lovely, knowledgable and enthusiastic and more than happy to talk to us about the individual birds and their personalities.

While the site is fairly small, it is packed and we took a second loop around just to see our favourites again. There is a little gift shop in reception for those essential souvenirs for the kids anda little room to the side with all sorts of creepy crawlies.

We will be back.

I visited World of Owls today with a childminding group. Our children ranged in age from 1 year to 11 years. This was a first time visit for all of us but definitely not the last. Staff were very knowledgeable and provided interesting facts on the birds and reptiles. We had an opportunity to take photographs with Harley, the owl who starred in the first Harry Potter film. The children also enjoyed a bit of free play in the extensive garden area where we had a picnic and had the benefit of lovely sunshine. After lunch we explored the Crawlies Cavern and visited the small shop. We arrived at 11am and left at 3pm. A lovely day out, unhurried, where great memories will have been created. Thank you to all the staff who made this day special for us.

Just back from a trip at world of owls had a brilliant time. The price on the gate in my view could actually be higher as this is a charity run place so needs all the help they can get. The birds are amazing and the staff were lovely and really knowledgeable. My 8 year old daughter loved it. All in all a brill day.

Visited World of Owls today and had a great time, staff were very approachable and friendly. The sanctuary was well laid out and very clean. Some of the birds were out in a central area, which made for great viewing and photos, with staff on hand to answer questions and generally chat about the sanctuary and what they do. There is also a small cafe that serves hot and cold drinks and snacks. Will certainly be going back.

This owl sanctuary is well worth a visit. It's a charity with rescued owls & other birds of prey. There is also a small reptile house. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. There is a small tuck shop & picnic tables if you bring your own sandwiches. I believe that you can fly hawks for a small payment (needs to be arranged in advance I think). We had a lovely afternoon here.
