“The cottage is fully equipped with everything you could ever need”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 March 2013 for a stay in March 2013

We stayed for a week during a cold March the cottage was so warm and cosy we just loved coming back to it after our long walks.
The cottage is fully equipped with everything you could ever need on your holiday including DVD player, it was so cosy and the wood burning fire was a plus! The location is central and ideal for walking.
It was clean, comfortably furnished and with amenities that made it feel just like home, it has wonderfully comfortable beds, along with cotton bedding.
Everything has been carefully thought out so that immediately on arrival, we felt at home. I would recommend this property cannot fault the cottage; it is spotless and has everything you could wish for, a real home from home holiday let.

Thank you for your review. Sadly we no longer accept pets at the cottage. The drive is , indeed quite a challenge to reverse back along, at times, but with practice it's achievable! There is parking on the road outside if you can't face it!
Hope to see you again soon.
Best wishes

“Excellent property, clean, warm and well equipped.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 October 2012 for a stay in October 2012

Everything said in the description was accurate; only one small fault, do not use the drive, there is no turning space and one has to reverse out of a narrow lane with a sharp right angle onto the (albeit) quiet road.
We took our 2 teenage children and dog and could not ask for better; the cottage is well equipped, very comfortable and central to pubs and restaurants. We ate in the Cock and the White Hart, both OK and well priced. The Old Hall Inn nearby and on the Tramway walk was very good as was the Rams Head in Disley. Take away Indian and Chines both very good value and authentic. Walks abound nearby both the easy for dog walkers and the full monty for the adventurous; Manchester is less than an hour by train (best option, as traffic horrid at peak times)

Thank you for your review.
The driveway is challenging but we lived here for ten years with two cars and we got used to it. The driveway is a bonus as it is unusual to have off-street parking in this very traditional Derbyshire village. If you don't feel comfortable using the driveway there is plenty of parking on the road.
We're glad that you enjoyed the cottage and the surroundings.
Best wishes
