“Great for the beach”

This is a nice apartment in a very convenient spot for the lovely Princess Margaret Beach - a favourite of ours. Just head down some steps through Jack’s bar and you’re there.
It’s a quirky place with a shared pool. The kitchen is behind locked folding doors right next to the pool - which is most unusual.
There’s a great view from the balcony: perfect for a cool drink and watching sunsets. But then you need to get inside. It’s surrounded by lush vegetation and water, so be prepared for the mozzies.
It’s probably better to book this place in season. When we were there Jack’s bar was closed and so we had to take a taxi each night to and from whatever restaurant we went to. That was an inconvenience. The access road is very steep and suited only to muscular vehicles, as well as slippery if you walk on it after rain. There is a walkway via the beach and a small stretch of woodland - in daytime great, but not appealing in darkness. The steps down to the beach are quite steep - but we were OK with that.
The small pool was in regular use by another couple, so we never used it.
We took daytime meals at the bar restaurants in Lower Bay. The beaches were virtually empty.
Overall: a nice place near superb beaches and good for a short stay.

“Lovely spot. Great views. Perfect!”

Very quiet with a great view. 2 minutes walk down to Princess Margaret beach, one of nicest beaches on Bequia. Lovely staff.

“Heavenly views”

We stayed for 6 nights as part of a 3 island holiday in the Caribbean. The property is perfectly located in this small island - a short walk to the fabulous beach (complete with a great beach bar); a 20 minute walk to Port Elizabeth and with a view over the bay to die for.

Our room was furnished perfectly for such a location - simple but stylish - with all the amenities you could reasonably expect.

Monica was not in residence when we stayed but the pre arrival instructions worked perfectly - we were met by Julien the taxi driver at the port and Kass, the housekeeper was around a few hours every day.

The only minor irritant was that the property also has a two bed apartment; fine if you get on with your fellow guests - ours were somewhat inconsiderate! Otherwise a 5 star rating.

“TWO NIGHT BREAK”

We boooked A NightAshore last minute and it turned out to be a wonderful find, views accross the bay are to die for and theres a lovely pool to cool off, and our room just shouted relax and go with the flo. All sorts of nice little details, like the mobile in the safe you can borrow . However the steps up from the beach are a bit taxing, you can walk to the right of Jack's bar making for a gentler climb and they could do with a gas plate for the bottham room, but still a great place

We stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment, access to kitchenette at poolside. The room/grounds, especially the pool were immaculate. I think this is the best location in Bequia, great view over Princess Margaret beach, short walk into town(fresh fruit for breakfast!!) or Lower Bay(Sunday at De Reef).Much more than we expected-room had booklet with lots of local info , every restaurant recommended was great(thanks for directing us to Fernando's), added bonus of local cellphone in room. Wish we would have booked longer, definitely would go back. Would also recommend Michaels Tours for the beach picnic on Isle Quatre, great food.

Thank you for your comments.

We do have a very special location at one of the world's most beautiful beaches...and yes, even the mosquitos want to be here by the warm sea in our hot climate. However they are less proliferous than many other locations on Bequia.
