During our January stay in San Jose we took an afternoon tour of the city. A Marbella Tours van picked us from our hotel on Avenida Central. Our first stop was at Restaurante Nuestra Tierra on Avenida 2 and Calle 15, where we had lunch, accompanied by marimba music. We then proceeded by van to view the sights such as: various embassies, universities, La Sabana Metropolitan Park and Moravia, which is known for arts and crafts. Our last stop was at a high-end jewelry house called Diamantes Esmeraldas Jewelry & Art Gallery located in South Sabana. This impressive place has top-of-the-line rings and necklaces studded with semi-precious stones. There is also an outdoor art gallery. This establishment follows maximum security, opening its gates to invitees only.
Our van dropped us off at our San Jose hotel 5 hours later.
