Good food (my calves liver was cooked to perfection). Reasonably priced, plus the service and food better than other similar locations. We will be back!

Went here with a group of friends and it was really a big let down. Food was poor and presentation and the quality of food was more like s cheap cafe than a so called nice restaurant.the pate was cheap and nasty and the steak was tough as old boots.the service was also terrible and our plates kept being cleared even while people where still eating. We try to support local business but this place has gone down hill big style.

With limited options in Barnet went with a group of friends. Food was adequate and fairly basic. Had to wait a while for service which seemed to be excessive as they were no that busy at the time.

Have been a few times and each time have vowed not to go back. The food is not great. My last meal was the worst so def won't be returning. I had the special which the I let myself be talked into having by the waiter (now realise it was so horrible that no one had ordered it) it was chicken escalope on a bed of spaghetti which had been completely and I mean completely been drenched in pesto. It was so disgusting I left literally all of it and they didn't even ask if anything was wrong with it tut tut. I think this place survives as it somehow has maintained a regular clientele.

We have eaten here several times over the last couple of years, but only at lunchtimes at the weekend, so can't comment on evening service.
Usually we have the Sunday lunch which is exceptional. roast beef is always perfectly cooked and the roast potatoes are fluffy and crispy, topped with an enormous puffy Yorkshire Pudding. Pork and chicken is also very good. Sunday offers a set menu.
This weekend we ate here on a Saturday. Although the service was not as good as on Sundays. The menu is large with some very interesting dishes and it is quite hard to choose. The Tempura prawn starter was enormous and 'sensational! The jambalaya was very tasty and the sea bass well cooked.
Although there are large French doors at the front of the restaurant, it can be a little dark and dingy' - a shame there isn't a garden at the back, then it would be perfect
A great place for a weekend lunch, particularly with an elderly Mother as they will do small portions on request.
I have given ratings for our last visit which was on a Saturday, Sunday would have been slightly higher on service and atmosphere.
