Me and my boyfriend went to prezzo in cockfosters as we had a tastecard. The starters were ok but the spaghetti bolognaise my boyfriend ordered was bland and tasted like a ready meal-horrible! The salad that I ordered was missing several ingredients-i did not realise this till afterwards when we read through the outside menu. When we said to the waitress we weren't very happy with the food she did not respond. Would not recommend
this branch of prezzo.

A group of us visited Prezzo in Cockfosters on a Friday lunchtime. The restaurant is clean and spacious. The foods is excellent and the portions are great sizes. However the service can be a bit slow as there was only one waitress in the whole restaurant.

Six of us including two children went there to celebrate our son's birthday on Saturday evening. We waited nearly 40 minutes between startes and main meal. Finally the meal came after asking what was causing this delay. At the end of the meal our children did not get their desserts! Of course by this time children were tired and we just wanted to go home.

Unfortortuntely this is the second time we had poor service. Not sure if would want to visit again. Food was good. Disappointed that tastecard was accepted on Saturday.

It's Prezzo. If you've been to one, you've been to them all, at least in terms of what's on your plate. It doesn't set the world alight, but it's tasty enough, it fills your stomach and it's fair value.

But the Cockfosters branch stands out in two areas: it's one of the more spacious and pleasantly laid out branches in North London. Plus the staff have been fantastic to us, which is why we return regularly. In all but one visits, the food has been exactly as expected. But the visit where it wasn't, with parts overcooked and parts undercooked, is what told us how good the staff here are. Not only did we get newly cooked, hot and perfectly prepared replacement dishes, before we'd even considered how they'd sort it, the manager had offered his apologies and said "Don't worry, I'll take the main courses off the bill." Simply done, happy customers. And we went back.

And what happened when we next went back? No mistakes, but the manager came over while our order was being taken and said to the waitress "Look after this order, these are regular customers so make sure we give them our best." It costs nothing, it may or may not have made any difference to how things were done in the kitchen, and the waiting staff have always been good there anyway, but it made us feel that they cared about what they were doing and that their customers left happy. I know that this isn't always the case, particularly in chain restaurants, so kudos to them.

If we're going to Prezzo, we go to this one.

We booked here for a lunch for 10 adults and 2 young children. It was not full, and we had a nice table in the lovely contemporary decorated dining area. The menu has an extensive range of pastas, pizza, and Italian meals, and some good choices for children. We all shared a range of starters that went down well, and ordered some wine from a short but reasonable list. For mains we had a dishes from across the menu. Many had pizzas that looked okay, a couple of salads, and the rest of us had pasta. My spaghetti and meatballs was a good size but a little bland, and my Wife's baked pasta was a bit dry. The service throughout was friendly and efficient. The bill for what we had was, I thought, a little high. I would recommend though.
