Very friendly, lovely feel. Would visit again. We felt very at home and as staying in one place for the evening, night and breakfast we chilled... Breakfast was very hearty, we didn't eat again until tea time.

“Excellent food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 April 2014

Beautifully cooked. Can anyone rave about potatoes? They were so light and delicious both as baked and chips. Steak was delicious. Starters and deserts good but it was the main dishes that were brilliant. Very friendly and welcoming. Good Luck to all going forward.

“Always very good and often exceptional”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014

We have dinned here on numerous occasions when staying in the area. On our last visit I had the roast beef, which was lovely but was jealous of my sons roast pork belly which is on the main menu. He raved about the flavour and said it was the best crackling he had ever had. We also enjoyed the key lime pie and ice cream, both home made. These were on special, that day but the hand made Benoffee pie is what I normally have and goes down a treat. We usually eat early on and then move from the Restaurant to the bar to drink more real ales, sit by the fire, or play a game of pool. We love the informal atmosphere of the pub, where we are treated as 'locals' by some regulars and are treated to the 'crack' as they call it; which usually has us in stiches.
It can be very busy in the evenings at the weekend so we always book ahead.

“Poor”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 April 2014 via mobile

Food was bland. I had the burger, which was totally tasteless. No seasoning to it whatsoever. Presentation was nice though. Also there seemed to be a bit of bullying going on towards one of the younger members of staff by the female there. Not impressed, especially as she complained about him to another guest. Won't rush back.

“Great Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 February 2014 via mobile

Nice little place to stay. Great hospitality. Exceptional food, at a very reasonable price.
The room was ok, comfortable enough and certainly clean if not particularly luxurious - but that misses the point of the place.
Overall great stay.
