“Five Star”
Reviewed 29 January 2014 via mobile

We have now stayed in Archerfield House, Marine Villa and one of the Lodges. The standard in every property is most definitely five star. There is everything you need and more. The properties are very well maintained, roomy and classically decorated. All the staff in every part of the estate are courteous, well trained and extremely helpful. The whole of the Archerfield Estate is a pleasure to visit and we will continue to take guests and family as well as recommend to all.

Came here last Sunday for the special offer they had running for January, what amazing value for money, from the moment we entered the spa till the moment we left we were treated so well. lovely touch of having your own bathroom facilities to change in with everything you could possibly need, although there isn't much in terms of spa facilities but the time just flew in when we were there and you just relaxed in the relaxation area and chatted. I would say it was more for women than men, I felt just due to the lack of a pool etc that men tend to like more than just sitting around chatting like women. Treatment rooms were lovely, massage was amazing. We also ate in the club house and it was so nice as well. Can't wait to get back!

Our family book this lovely hotel for a wedding. It is a restored manor house of modest proportions but the whole hotel was dedicated to our event so we had the run of the place.
The all-inclusive package worked very well and the staff were excellent.

It is in a nice location on the edge of a pine forest and a golf course.
It is ideal for a wedding party of around 40 guests but any more would be a squeeze.
The rooms are great and the whole building has been restored to a very high standard.

The only down-side for me was the price of the golf - frankly a rip-off. The (exclusive) links course is not in particularly good condition and even though there is a discount for customers staying at the hotel you won't see much change out of £100 each.

Stayed the night here with a friend after spending the day in the Fletcher's Cottage Spa, what a perfect day it was , the staff in the spa where very attentive , the room was very spacious , complementary refreshments and snacks , couldn't fault the spa or accommodation . Following morning breakfast which was to a high standard.
The only thing which I think would make this even better would be if there was a swimming pool . 10/10

We had a very pleasant stay in the main house; the rooms are lovely & the whole house quite spectacular.
The main evening meal was not great; the turkey was very dry & tasteless & they didn't have any gravy or cranberry sauce. They charge quite a lot of money, so you would think they could put more money into the quality of the food.
Otherwise a very enjoyable stay.

I have had a few stays at Archerfield. Two in the mansion, one in Marine Villa and my most recent two night stay was at the Boat House.

The attention to detail in all properties is second to none. Carefully selected and tasteful furnishings, huge bedrooms, amazing staff, every detail thought of to make your stay special.

The boat house was particularly spectacular with its huge open plan living area and separate bar, stunning views and plenty of outdoor seating. It would be perfect for a group of friends wanting to enjoy a special occasion together in total luxury.

I ate at both the clubhouse and the mansion house during our stay, and as ever the food and service was fantastic.

A round of of golf was most enjoyable and the condition of the greens and fairways was excellent.

This kind of luxury comes at a price, but in the case of Archerfield it is totally justified and represents outstanding value.

I cannot really think of any negatives here, and I cannot really praise it enough.

Room Tip: There are many accommodation options available, the most spectacular are probably the 1st floor room...

I spent a lovely relaxing day at the Spa on Monday with a friend. We arrived a little early so were shown the facilities before settling in with a scone and cuppa. Treatments were sublime, given by the same therapist all day. Stacey, my therapist was lovely, and worked around some recent skin treatments I had unfortunately had at the hospital with so much care and attention - leaving me feeling very relaxed and so well looked after. Afternoon tea followed our lovely day. If you are thinking of a special place to go for the day....this is your place, a very unique spa in a beautiful setting - simply lovely. I very much hope to return.
