We stayed in this property in their villas in July 2011.

The property is spread over 125 acres of lush green countryside in Fife. The entire stay was magical and brilliant. The villa we rented was self contained units with 2 bedrooms, living room and kitchen. The master bedroom had a built in jacuzzi. The villa had 2 exits and each opened upto green lawns with brown rabbits hopping by . The property is very well maintained . There is a stable in the property and the horses are left in the open for a major part of the day. its a beautiful experience staying in this place. As one drives and in out of the property , beautiful fields with the most amazing colours are visible.

Room Tip: All rooms in the property are good. If you want a typical castle experience choose the castle room...

We booked this castle through laterooms.com as a stop over for us en route to the highlands. We booked a double room with an extra bed for our 9yr old son what we got was absolutely amazing we actually got a suite which consisted of a living/dining room with full kitchen along with 2 enormous bedrooms both with en suite bathrooms with full baths and showers. However when we sneaked a peek behind a door in our laundry room (yes we also got a full size washer dryer) we found a small cellar area in which there was a plaque on the wall explaining how his castle once belonged to Robert the Bruce's father so full of history and the our suite was once the kitchen area!

The staff were extremely hospitable and made us feel really welcomed. The only meal we had was breakfast and that was to die for! We only used the pool but again this was perfect.

Our only regret? Yes we did have a regret and that's we didn't book to stay longer but we will return in the not too distant future and plan to stay much longer.

My brother and I were lucky enough to pay a flying visit last week as we were interested in the history of the place and what they had managed to achieve there. We felt so welcome and Margaret took time out of his day to show us round what is a very beautiful venue with a rich history.

We wish you all the best in your endeavours and hope you go from strength to strength!!

All the best,

Gavin and Bruce

Just one night of a tour of Southern Scotland, and we were not disappointed. The room was nice and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent. We didn't use the leisure facilities, but they looked to be well appointed.

We have friends who own a time share week here and have spent many years visiting them. We are just back from another visit and once again would have very little fault. We ate in the White Cockade and once again had a lovely meal although the staff could have been slightly better and more helpful but did not let that effect our lovely time would thorough recommend it. Location is great there are loads of lovely places round about to visit

Kilconquhar castle Estate which is set in a beautiful scenic location offers many different facilities and is certainly worthy of comment. We stayed overnight after attending a wedding at the complex. The wedding was organised like clockwork by the staff who were obviously well trained coming across as friendly, obliging and geared up to cater for any eventuality.
At the reception which was held in the adjacent marquee we were offered a BBQ comprising beefburgers, steak, chicken and salad followed by ice cream, strawberries and apple pie. Unfortunately, the meat was on the tough side-the food lukewarm and the plates unheated this was our only major criticism..
Our accomodation was a double clubroom being conveniently situated close to the reception area. It was small but functional and because it was on ground level, the glass panelled door was protected by a curtain making the room a bit dingy but this is only a minor issue.
The following day we had full English breakfast a real treat. Excellent food served by friendly customer focussed staff ie. sausage, bacon, black pudding, haggis, mushrooms, tomatoes plus your choice of eggs-food piping hot including plates.
All in all, mainly positives apart from the BBQ which must have been a "blip"--splendid location, well organised staff and good choice for a wedding venue or a leisurely break

Room Tip: avoid rooms adjacent to Bistro
