It has the only original Rhenish Helm tower of its kind in the UK and is just a beautiful church. Beautiful walks on the South Downs nearby.

I like to drop in here every now and again. It is an old Saxon (tower) church with Norman nave. The church yard is well worth a stroll around. Provides food for thought.
Lovely old church unfortunately cut off from Sompting by the main A27 dual carriageway. Norman or even Saxon I would guess.
got married here many years ago and always had a soft spot for church.
I love old churches like this. The only Rhenish Helm spire in England. The church was originally built by the Anglo-Saxons and changed and added on to throughout the ages. It is mentioned in the Domesday Book with connection to the Templars. The location of the church is just off a main road so no problem getting lost!
