“What an experience climbing to the top of a lighthouse”
Reviewed 17 September 2013

We parked in the car park of the Buddle Inn, and walked down a steep narrow path and across the fields to the lighthouse,it was a lovely sunny day and the views were fantastic. We were met by a delightful gentleman who was a volunteer guide there,I did not take a note of his name but he is tall slim and has a little beard, what he does not know about lighthouses and their history must be nil,he is an absolute mine of information, once he had explained things to us and a couple of other gentlemen,we went into lighthouse,at each level we were told all about what was there and why,we progressed to the top to the lantern,it is a beautiful and amazing thing especially when you think how long it has been there and what it does each and every day.

“Nice tour!”
Reviewed 10 September 2013

The lighthouse is situated quite far apart from anything else. You cannot park anywhere near it. The only way is to park along the street and walk down to the coast. The way is pretty steep so be careful and make sure you are wearing the proper shoes before getting there! It takes around 15 mins walk from the road to the lighthouse. When you get there, you cannot get up there by yourself as it is the part of the tour. The guide is very nice though.

In overall, there is not much to do there. Not sure if it's worth it unless you love the lighthouse.

P.S. Remember not to wear a flip flop or they would give you a black pumps like those ones you wore at school!

“Interesting tour”
Reviewed 4 September 2013

There is a easy walk to the Lighthouse and it's stunning on a sunny day. When we got there I had to wait outside as they don't allow babies in. But that's understandable. So my husband and 5 year old went on the tour. My husband found it really interesting and so did my 5 year old. He was amazed at the massive bulb. Definitely worth a look if you are in the area.
