“If Paradise Is Half As Nice ....”
Reviewed 21 July 2013

My hubby Tim and I have just returned from our fifth visit to the Enchanted Manor in Niton, Isle of Wight.

As always, a warm welcome awaited us. Maggie and Ric have the ability to make their guests feel instantly relaxed and at home - they cannot do enough for you and are a lovely, genuine couple.

Our suite, "Atlantis", was adorned with beautiful drapes, thoughtful little touches and an extremely comfortable bed. We had a great view from our window and more than once spied a cute red squirrel in the trees.

For breakfast there is a wide selection of cereals to start, yoghurt, berries, fruit, fresh juice, tea and coffee, followed by the Country Breakfast for Tim whilst I chose Maggie's salmon fishcakes -delicious. The breakfast menu is extensive and there is something to suit everybody's taste.

Badger watching in the twilight is a highlight not to be missed and I shall never forget watching these beautiful creatures a few feet away from where we were sat in one of the follies in the Enchanted garden.

There is also a hot tub in the garden for guest's use and Tim is now trying to persuade me to have one installed at home!

I cannot recommend the Enchanted Manor highly enough and we are already looking forward to our fifth visit.

Go on - spoil yourself!

Tim and Katy Rogers

This was our 7th visit to the Enchanted Manor and it was just as amazing the 7th time as it was the 1st time. We first visited the Enchanted Manor on honeymoon in 2010 and have since been back several times with our parents who love the place as much as we do. A holiday here is truly special, where else can you watch red squirrels running about in the garden whilst eating breakfast and see a family of badgers come out at nighttime whilst enjoying superb cheese and wine. Ric and Maggie are the most excellent hosts, they make everyone feel special and welcome; and nothing is too much trouble for them. They are such lovely, friendly people and make you feel like one of the family. The breakfasts are exceptional, as are the stunning high teas - it is the ultimate in luxury. The rooms are beautifully decorated, very spacious and the manor itself is in such a stunning location. It's an absolutely magical place to stay and we can't wait to go back again.

My girlfriend had been looking at the hotel for some time now. So i decided to treat her to a birthday surprise. we stayed at The Enchanted manor last weekend and it was truly special. From the moment we arrived, No. The moment I booked the customer service was exceptional. Maggie was always on hand by email to ensure our stay would be exactly what we wanted. Offering ferry rates, activity ideas and options of local restaurants. So when we arrived less time was taken deciding what to do and more time to relax and enjoy. On arrival Ric was very pleasant and very keen to help, showing you around and making you feel you truly are welcome and at home in this beautiful manor. And this continued always on hand if needed and ensuring we were enjoying our stay.
We took some lovely walks in the beautiful surrounding settings, visited the lighthouse, went for dinner at a lovely nearby pub called The Buddle, used the outdoor hottub, played some snooker, outdoor BBQ had a lovely bottle of wine, delicious shortbread cookies and dipping strawberries brought to our room, (definitely recommended), the shortbread was amazing. And saw badgers out in the lovely garden late at night.
Trying to think of bad points.... Oh. the shower in the room, as high tech as it is, was just a nice basic shower with a built in steamer. The aqua jets, side sprays and built in radio didn't work. Thats all i can think of.
All in all a bit more than I expected to be paying for a B&B but definitely worth every penny. Came home completely relaxed with the feeling we had stayed somewhere very special. The place.... tranquil & Magical. I will be staying again.

This was our fourth visit and we're still "enchanted " !
Ric and Maggie go out of their way to make your stay memorable, from seeing the family of badgers feeding in the garden at night to making sure your day starts with a great choice at breakfast.

The Enchanted Manor is a lovely B &B with huge rooms plus a sitting room and 10/10 breakfasts . The hosts are great especially Ric who goes out if his way to make everyone welcome . They throw a cheese and wine get together to introduce fellow guests, which is a great ice breaker. The location is very pretty but you will have to drive or taxi into Ventnor for a decent meal. The local pub wasn't a success for us in terms of food quality but it's ok for a drink. Book a table at the Phillias Fogg restaurant in Ventnor for a lovely meal with a bottle of Prosseco on the house for Enchanted guests and try the Met bar for a drink and non traditional tapas overlooking the beach. Make a point of looking out for the badgers eating cornflakes in the garden in the evening . All in all we enjoyed our break here and it's certainly a very different B & B experience. Ric and Maggie deserve all the accolades they have gained for their manor and couples who love the island and visit regularly should try this place at least once.

The Enchanted Manor in Niton is a characterful, luxury B&B with a great personal service. It has a unique fairytale quality to the design which certainly gives it stand out. The rooms and facilities are finished to a high standard and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. You are treated and looked after very well and the cooked breakfasts are very tasty. A fantastic place to stay, especially for couples.

Room Tip: The Moonlight Suite on the top floor is beautiful, a great size and even has a record player!

This is a highly themed hotel, with a great deal of effort from the husband & wife owners to create a magical atmosphere. They give a very warm welcome and provided a superb breakfast. Room was very comfortable with a nice sea view. Quite expensive, but was worth the money. Would go again.
