We stayed with our dog for a weekend, the setting next to Hillside Animal Sanctuary is great & we had a really relaxing weekend.
The accomodation (Woolly View) was spotless, everything you could need was on hand. We will being going back to try the larger room, it's much better than staying in a traditional B & B.

we've stayed here twice now, staying last year for one night in the foxburrow and the year before in bobtail corner. bobtail corner is the largest of the three rooms, having a separate living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom and has everything you could want or need for a night or even a week or two. the foxburrow is the smallest room but is still a decent size with a shower room and small kitchen area, we've travelled with our two small dogs and we're all made very welcome, when you arrive there are usually some sort of cakes, scones with jam and cream in our case and provisions for coffee or tea, we haven't had breakfast as we're not really ones for eating much on a morning. we will be staying again for a night in september, i would highly recommend this place, i can see us returning year after year.

Room Tip: all the rooms are very suitable for a couple travelling.

This place is absolutely fantastic!!! Relaxing is an understatement! We had a view of the lovely rescue horses from our bedroom window, it was spotlessly clean when we arrived with a series of thoughtful, practical touches that meant we wanted for nothing!

Christine and her husband were very hospitable and friendly and we will be going back, hopefully very very soon!

Thank you for making us feel, literally, at home.

We stayed in Woolly View for one night .It was nicely decorated and furnished and even though it was January it wasn't at all cold in there. It seemed alot bigger inside than it looked from the outside.Christine seemed to have thought of everything we might need for our stay there and even left some cupcakes for us to enjoy. The only downside is we were staying just one night and it went all too quickly.

My 9 year old and I booked for our 3 day break at short notice, but having been once, look forward to returning. It is rare to find somewhere so peaceful with such country charm and the flexibility to either self-cater, or have a continental breakfast provided in your room. We stayed in Woolly View which has either a twin or double zip-link bed option, a small but adequate shower room, and a kitchen/sitting area with tv, Freeview box and dvd player. There was a selection of dvds, books and local information for us to browse through. Our stable door looked out over a small, fenced patio area, which was just large enough for a patio table with a couple of chairs and some pretty flower pots. We loved watching the wild rabbits hurtling around in the next field! The scones with jam and fresh cream which were left out for our arrival were delicious and most welcome! The accommodation is colour co-ordinated, and I considered it even more attractive than their website photos portray. Although wireless internet is not advertised, when I had problems with my mobile broadband, Christine and James very kindly let me borrow their network. They were also especially lenient with our check-in/check-out times, although of course this will depend on their other bookings. There is an attractive pub which is reputed to serve excellent food, about a mile away, and not much further is the village of Spixworth with a Co-op supermarket, butchers, post office, fish and chip shop, newsagent, etc. In Frettenham itself we found a lovely newly-opened farm shop for fresh fruit, vegetables, and dairy produce which was made on site. I highly recommend Bay Tree House for a complete 'switch off' in the countryside, without feeling too isolated.
