My wife and I were recommended to call at this pub by Andrew, the landlord of the Hampshire Arms a little way down the road, as he was not able to server any food at that time. He informed us that the Plume of Feathers serves food from 12:00 - 8:30 PM on Sunday and it is indeed advertised as doing so.
We arrived at the Plume of Feathers and eventually were asked what we would like. My wife asked for a lime and soda but while trying to explain to the girl behind the bar that she would only like a maximum of two chunks of ice in her drink the girl, who was now ignoring us again and talking to her friends, said "so yeah we don't have to do food today what a result!"
My wife was given her glass of ice cubes and I had a beer but we didn't see the point in ordering food or indeed even wanted to stay there any longer than necessary.
Poor service standards with rude staff and if you want to order food check in advance that their kitchen is even open!More
