Stopped here for something to eat . It was a nice day so we sat outside the waitress was very good nothing to much trouble for her . Good menu with plenty to choose from and reasonably priced the food was great and would recommend we would certainly go back if in that area.

while out for a drive. came across this little inn. looked very appealing from the outside so decided to give it a go. Glad we did the food was great. starter were very tasty and the mains were fab. the fish and scampi done in house batter was great. well worth a call in if you are passing. got very busy in a very short time. so booking could be advised.

Had to follow up my review from January when I wasn't at all happy with what was once my all time favourite place to eat locally. Can't comment on the temperature because both times I've been recently there has been no need for heating so we'll see what happens in the colder months. However, we have been back twice recently with friends and the place has turned around, in my opinion. We felt it more welcoming and staff much more relaxed than just after the management changeover. We were even acknowledged on entering and leaving!
Food as always tasty and well presented and compliments to the wine connoisseur who has revamped the wine list - the Merlot is a good bottle for the price tag.
So pleased my husband persuaded me to give Meikleour a second chance.

Greg was excellent at arranging our golf needs. The 2 bedroom cottage we stayed in looked brand new and was ideal for 4 golfers. Very comfortable and plenty space for us all. The hotel staff were excellent and very friendly. The food was very good and excellent value. We will definitely be back, thoroughly recommended.

Room Tip: Cottages are very modern and comfortable.

If you are looking for a touch of true Scottish hospitality then you should head for Meikleour. The hotel itself is an old staging inn and has loads of atmosphere. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Bedrooms are most comfortable with complimentary sherry decanter, bottles of water, fruit, shortbread and tea/coffee making facilities. Toiletries are from The White Stuff. For the most reasonable cost these extras are quite unusual. Add to this a staff of most friendly, helpful folks and I am sure you would find the Meikleour Arms well worth a visit

Staying in Ballathie House hotel, the evening meals can be expensive so my wife & I went in search of something a little easier on the pocket!

We certainly found a gem!

Food good, and excellent value for money. The staff were very welcoming, which made a big difference to our visit.

We liked it on our 1st visit, so went back again the next day as well.

Next time we're in the area we'll be back.
