“A relaxing, comfortable haven with wonderful interesting meals”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 September 2009

From the moment we arrived we felt at home. Chilled music, comfortable surroundings and the friendly welcome from Paul helped us relax. The accommodation in rustic log cabins was private and comfortable. Marian's meals were wonderful - interesting menus, beautifully presented. There is prolific birdlife and Old Joe's is an excellent place to relax and explore the area. The road noise was the only minor distraction.

What a wonderful place to stay. The owners are extremely hospitable and friendly and offer the most fantastic quality food, wine and service. In a beautiful location and a perfect stopover on the way to Kruger National Park . Don't miss out!

This is the best place to start your journey into Mpumalanga. One night here is enough to take away all your stress and to prepare you for your trip further into Mpumalanga. Paul and Marian makes you feel at home and you will feel as if they are long lost friends that you were longing to meet again. The atmosphere, service and absolute beauty of the place is the best we ever experienced.

Old Joe's Kaia hosted my 21st birthday party, and it was the most successful weekend i could ever have asked for. The amount of detail and planning that went into this weekend was unbelievable, from the picnic at the river, the fine dinning in the evening and the party that followed made this a 5 Star event. Not to mention the breakfast on the deck to sooth the morning after effect. The food was outstanding, the accomodation was perfect and the dedication of all the staff members was the cherry on top. Thank you all so much!
