“Fantastic villa in lovely village in central Hvar”
Reviewed 7 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We where visiting with our children from London and where very happy with the villa. The owners are easy to communicate with and very helpful giving advise on places to visit.

The villa is large and comfortable to fit two families with children. It is in a lovely village, but private and not overlooked. Great location to reach lots of great beaches, villages and towns easily, while staying in a charming little village.

As well as the swimming pool they have a pool table and great wood fire BBQ for authentic home cooking.

Highly recommended for a relaxing break! :)

“A heavenly week in a wonderful Villa Arancin!”
Reviewed 26 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

My wife and 6 artist friends spent a heavenly week painting and experiencing the wonderful village of Vrbanj on the Island of Hvar. However the Villa Arancin is so beautiful with the old stone villa and small cottage - and such amazing gardens that most of us spent all our time there painting and absorbing such wonderful sights! It is so difficult to put into words how magnificent this place is.
Even though this was May the pool was so inviting that everyone was swimming and enjoying the pool area - several were taking daily morning and evening swims after a day of painting!
There is a main villa that had a very large, fully equipped chef's kitchen with inside dining that was perfect for preparing many wonderful meals for the 8 of us. There is also a small kitchen in the upper floor and one in the cottage which was great for fixing tea and coffee and small meals. There is also a amazing Croatian style grille that we prepared a nice meal on as well.
The bedroom were fantastic with very comfortable beds and accommodations. There was 4 large bathrooms in the main villa and one in the cottage with great facilities and plenty of hot water!
Overall the villa has the beauty of the rustic stone house of the village but it is all very modern with the latest comforts - one could not ask for more.
The little stone cottage was wonderful and so picturesque - very comfortable and well equipped - while we had a group of 8 people there it is designed to give much privacy if that is what you want or great areas to gather both inside and out.
I cannot comment enough on how beautiful the gardening/landscaping is - so natural with so many interesting plants and many herbs that we could use for cooking - it was simply great.
Our hosts were so easy to work with and before we arrived had arranged for a rental car to meet us at the ferry terminal - communications were easy and they were very prompt with any questions before and during our stay. They meet me at the ferry terminal and took me up to the villa and showed me the villa and explained the details - it was all very easy. They gave great information about the village and surrounding area. We met again the day we left at the ferry terminal and the were just wonderful to work with!
The small village of Vrbanj was so peaceful and you felt like you went back in time. There were 2 small stores for food, 2 coffee cafes and a great kobana/café that made excellent Croatian fare - I understood the pizza was considered tops on the island. The town of Jelsa is very close and we were able to get all the food from the larger markets there and a great butcher/meat shop there as well. Stari Grad is close as well and great for the sites and history - there is so much to do on the island, wonderful wines and grappa's, olive oils, etc. There are a number of beach close by for swimming in the sea - the Island of Hvar boast the most sunshine days of anywhere in Croatia and one of the most beautiful of all the islands.
I could not recommend the VIlla Arancin more - one week is just not enough and we will be coming again!
