We booked Taylard House as it was close to the venue of a wedding we were attending and the reviews were good too! We were not to be didappointed! We were warmly greeted with coffee/tea and biscuits! Shown to a beautiful room over looking the garden! The room was spacious, warm and comfortable with all amenities needed including an ensuite. We slept well and breakfast was of a very high quality with lots of variety available. We also were given the option of being driven to our wedding venue and collected in the evening again at a very low cost which was great as we do not know the area! This B&B is a gem of a find and we have already recommended it to friends! We will definately use again without any hesitation, thanks for the lovely stay.

I came back for a 2nd night - the hospitality was great. Lovely spec, nice property in nice grounds, and really nice friendly service, with a lovely breakfast. And a bath like no other I've had in a B&B for a long time - a treat after a long journey.

Had a great stay at Taylard house, the accommodation itself is a lovely building and is set within a lovely location, with good facilities. The owners were very friendly and could not do any more for us during the stay.
Overall, I would highly recommend Taylard house to anyone looking for accommodation in the area.

We needed a bolt hole to combine an appointment at a nearby RAF station with a few days away. The welcome from Sue and Andy made my husband and I feel very much at home and the tea and home made biscuits on arrival were excellent! Our en-suite room was lovely with a very comfortable bed. The house was very quiet and is surrounded by a large garden - we slept well and breakfasted heartily. I would recommend that you specify the size breakfast you require as two huge rashers of bacon and two eggs (in addition to black pudding, sausage, baked beans etc etc) was just a bit too much for us delicious though it was! Talking to Sue and Andy was very interesting and we particularly enjoyed stories of their respective fathers. Thank you both for making quite a difficult time most enjoyable!

Room Tip: We stayed at the front of the house and found it extremely peaceful

This was my second time staying here. Taylard house is a beautiful converted vicarage, ideal to use when visiting the surrounding area. The rooms are lovely.. really comfortable and when arriving and throughout the stay you receive a warm welcome. Lovely hearty breakfast all at a reasonable price. A real gem!

I stayed for just one night, but really enjoyed the warm welcome we received, the excellent breakfast, the comfortable accommodation. Also enjoyed looking at all the fascinating aviation and car memorabilia. I loved the house, the impressive gardens and the peaceful location. We enjoyed an excellent evening meal at the Indian restaurant up the road. A relaxing experience all round.

My partner and I were driving back from a festival and felt that tiredness had got the better of us and it was a safer option to stop and find somewhere to stay. From a quick internet search Taylard House was the third we tried in the area and they had availability and was right for our budget. We were pleasantly surprised that we would be staying in a beautiful intimate b&b where we could catch up on sleep.
The house was lovely and quiet and we felt very at home. The bed provided the most comfortable sleep we've ever had and the breakfast was to die for. We had a full english and I had to ask if the tomatoes were grown in the garden because they were divine. And they were! Its so nice to find a beautiful, typically english, country house to stay in. We'll definitely be back next year. You're home is beautiful and we love all the interesting decor, books, pillows etc...
