We had Sunday lunch at the Old Boot. Most of our party chose roast sirloin of beef, but one of our number chose the Belly Pork from the Specials menu. The food was expensive and not of great quality. Those of us who ordered the roast "sirloin" rare found the meat to be just edible, but two of our party ordered it cooked medium and it was tough to the point of being impossible to eat. It actually resembled a "supermarket" topside joint rather than a proper sirloin. My daughter found her belly pork fatty and I overheard someone on a nearby table complaining that hers was as tough as an old boot. The service was indifferent and at £13.50 a portion, we will not be repeating the experience!

Travelling back from a morning out at the Wolf Conservation, we decided to stop at The Old Boot for a bit of dinner (lunch).
Although the sat nav wasn't as accurate with the inn being away from where it said it would be, I though this was a great establishment!
Arriving just after 12, we were one of the first ones to eat for that day. The barman, who was the waiter as well, was very friendly and helpful. We ordered drinks and sat down by the open fire which gave the pub a great feel about it and a homely environment.
After ordering food, the barman/waiter brought the food out very quickly; the food was incredible! The starters, breaded brie, was delicious and could have had it for a main course aswell! I had the tikka masala for a main course which was lovely too; the tikka sauce was a bit watery but still delicious food!
Reasonably priced and great surroundings. Would definitely come here again ):

After our organised walk in the local country side ten of us had lunch at the Old Boot Inn and one for a drink.
A few of us had upgraded meals due to a shortage of the original request - no problem for the owner.
Food orders placed with no need to group the bill together making it easier for us, drinks at the ready our post walk social started.
Well presented and tasty lunches when they were served all appeared within minutes so well done to the kitchen on achieving that - it's not the same in the arrive over a long period.

Accommodating to move the tables around due to an increase in our original number of eaters from 9 to 10.

Feedback from the group was all positive.

Thanks John and Steve.

Lovely food....have been quite a few times...and also have a good meal. Expensive for a pub, but satisfaction guaranteed so it is on the list as a treat.

Went here recently and found the staff very helpful and chatty, food and drinks were exceptional as was the price which was a bit of a shock. As it was with friends, I had to wear it, but was quite pricey. The ambiance was really good with a relaxing area out the back with good views and room for kids if you take them. Toilet cleanliness and maintenance would need to improve to get 5 stars and maybe review prices which are at the top end for pub food.
