I have been to the Bull once before, and this day I had topped the last stay. I had come to visit friends & they took me here. We had a 3 course meal, starting with drinks in a lovely snug, then offered to our table once the starters came- waiter carried drinks. To start I had a bar snack, the gypsy egg- beautiful black pudding, poached egg, cheese & bacon, a meal in itself. The main was a beautiful local pheasant dish, to die for. For desert I opted for the brûlée, though I was full I had to have this. Everything was home made & cooked to order! The staff were absolutely lovely, with a great setting & a warm homely fire! The chef came out & had a chat too & was pleased we had enjoyed ourselves. Once again will be visiting when back in the area. My favourite 'away' pub. 5 stars

Lovely place - Great Food - Very friendly staff !
Haven't eaten so well in a pub for a very long time. Children and adults were all delighted with their meals, definitely worth a detour if traveling down the M4.
thank you to Laura and the Richards.

We'll be back !

Our daughter had her wedding party at the Bull Inn! All we can say is what a wonderful weekend we had. We stayed from Friday until Sunday. The food was excellent we were made to feel very welcome all the time, nothing was a problem. We had a hog roast on the wedding day. The whole weekend was absolutely great. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with both families and friends. Excellent.

A very nice Inn with traditional ales for the connoisseur. Great food in a relaxed atmosphere, rooms are reasonably basic and could do with a little tidying and a make over.
Rooms not part of the main building so have to walk around for breakfast in the morning. Minor issues for a pleasant rural B&B....

We visited for lunch on a Friday so it was nice and quiet. We found the Bull Inn on the web when looking for a dog-friendly meeting place and it certainly lived up to its billing. There are two resident dogs and they had no issues with ours. The staff were also very welcoming and could not have been more accommodating.

The food we had was fabulous! Good size portions of excellent quality at an affordable price (approx. £30 per head for three courses including drinks.

The local beer (I forget the brew) was also excellent.

All in all, our visitcould not have been better, so 5 stars!

Was not impressed with the rooms as they were not properly serviced, no hot water and flooding shower. Unfortunately can not recommend this pub which is a shame as it has such potential but left feeling second rate as a customer

Great food ...service a little slow...but I can't help being so so disappointed as I remembered this wonderful pub from years ago being so so authentic and basic - almost sawdust on floor. Now it feels chintzed and was so upset. used to love this pub. But food was yummy but pricey.
