Description: We're a country pub and all of our menus showcase the best of Britain with plenty of fresh, local produce and dishes that tip their hats to the seasons. Whether you want to indulge in rich local game, fresh-off-the-boat crab or just kick off your wellies and relax with a pint and a scotch egg, here you'll get a true taste of the great British countryside. It's not just our food that we're proud of here, we've also spent time picking the best local ales and award-winning British spirits and wines for behind our bar, alongside some old favourites. From Sipsmith artisan gin to Nyetimber bubbles, make sure to take some time to sample our drinks menu too. We even stock Snuffle dog beer for any canine companions. We are proud to have received 2 Rosettes and 4 Stars for our accommodation by the AA. We are also part of 'Pub group of the year 2016' by the Good Pub Guide.

Fantastic fish restaurant in rural location. Been back twice for early evening meal which is cheaper. Worth it for special occasion as it is unsurpassed locally. Treat yourself. Non fish lovers have a limited choice but some veg options. Puddings taster option is good.

I booked a table for my wedding anniversary and asked for a 'nice' table. We got a very small one by the kitchen exit! Service was slow and it seemed once our order was taken we were no longer a priority. Food was ok, over priced for what it was. This was our third and LAST visit.

We are regulars at The Crab and are always 'content'.
The lunch today was excellent, but in addition we cannot praise the staff too highly. In particular, we were served by 'Don' Luis, who was his usual super efficient, most agreeable self.
The owners, whoever they are, are lucky to have found such a gem.

We went to the Crab for Sunday lunch and although we have not visited the restaurant for at least three years it was not as good as when we dined previously.

The staff were excellent, very professional and very attentive. The tables were well spread out and although a couple of the tables had a noisy member, dining atmosphere was quite pleasant.

The food was mixed, some of us who had fish were very pleased, cooked perfectly and quality was good. However my wife had the beef and the meat was cooked well but the accompanying potatoes and vegetables had much to be desired, the potatoes were overcooked and therefore the outside was tough and inside flowery. The deserts were pleasant but not memorable. I had the cheese and the chutney was excellent but apart from the Stilton the rest of the cheeses were young and flavourless.

My wife surprised me by booking a table and room at the Crab for my birthday. The food was great (as always) and the was service brilliant, Luis the manager really looked after us, including making me wear a silly hat and placing ribbons all over me, Outstanding restaurant, we'vre very lucky to live nearby!
