“A wonderful week in Northumberland”

We stayed at Periwinkle cottage for a week in March 2017 and enjoyed every minute. Set in a quiet courtyard with great amenities very close by, pub, restaurant and shop a short walk away. The view of the sea and Dunstanburgh Castle from the top of Sea Lane was a perfect start to our holiday. The cottage is spotlessly clean and very welcoming and has lots of lovely touches to make you feel completely at home. A perfect base to visit this stunning part of the world. And the weather was amazing too!

excellent location, immaculately clean , very peaceful setting in a lovely coastal village. everything you need in a cottage , but no log burner!. however , the heating works well , and we are always nice and cosy . Easy access to the superb embleton beach and golf course. Some good local eateries and pubs. Pippa the dog loves it.Wifi included , but a little slow at times.
Would recommend and will return!

The cottage has all you need in a place that is an ideal base for walking along the coast...Newton by the sea...Craster...Dunstanburgh castle...the beautiful unspoilt beach of embleton ...the village has 3 different places to eat 4 if you count the golf club...traditional Pub..a chain Italian restaurant/pub ..and a traditional hotel. We ate at all of them ..all offering something different ...you can even take your dog in 2 of them!! (the italian place didn't allow canine guests) all this from the comfort of the cottage .

We had an excellent stay in this lovely quiet cottage. The cottage was clean, well equipped and comfortable. It is located in the heart of the village which has plenty to offer all year round. It proved to be a relaxing break in a beautiful part of the world.
