We stayed here for a few days September 2011. Entry via town car park into quaint pebbly garden...quite dark but very pretty. The room was very dark again mainly coloured maroon with heavy and expensive bedding...but room itself in need of refurb shabby chique. small and no wardrobe....had to hang clothes on hooks provided on the wall. For first 2 hours, no air conditioning...considered leaving and trying elsewhere but eventually repaired and effective.

Swimming pool very pretty but in the afternoon, no sun on it. Owner and children occupied it alot of the time and one of the very few patches of sun, occuped by them. Breakfast was small, served nicely but very expensive...and not worth the price charged...

Didn't have dinner as was ridiculously expensive even without wine. The place was very stylish in a quirky way but not comfortable. Nyons itself is lovely and there were lots of good restaurants and little shops. All in all hotel expensive, lacking charm and atmosphere. would not repeat.

I stayed a night here on route to Geneva and can´t speak highly enough of the place. The owners are a very friendly couple who make you feel very much at home. The hotel itself is delightful, full of personal touches and attention to detail. Really enjoyed the gardens and tables where you can sit and enjoy nature or get a tan... swimming pool included!

Excellent breakfast, really original with cheeses, fresh juice and freshly baked croissant. Delicious!

Thank you for making my stay such a pleasant surprise!

We stayed there on our way to the Lubéron and we booked this hotel at the very last minute.

The house is very well located 2 minutes walk from the historical center of Nyons and is located in a quiet area. There is a very nice garden in the house that makes you feel you are in a very preserved place.

This hotel is in between an hotel and a "maison d'hote". You have the privacy of hotel and the contact you can find in a maison d'hote. We have been welcomed by the owner of the place, who was very helpful and very friendly. We also stayed there for dinner. The owner was there, he explained the menu, helped us with the wine and was an excellent guest.

Overall, we enjoyed very much this stop over in Nyons and we are looking forward to being there again!!

We were on our way to a campsite in the Nyons area that we had booked but were not going to make it before the reception desk closed. We quickly looked on the internet and found this hotel. We called and spoke with the owner, and she had two rooms available for 2 adults and 3 children, and we mentioned that we would be dining with them as well. We hung up, and a few minutes later she called us back and asked what our children would like to have for dinner; we were pleasantly surprised at her thoughtfulness. We were very happy with our rooms and the dinner although the one night stay with lodging and dinner cost us more than a weeks stay at the campsite!

This truly is a beautiful hotel, in a perfect location for exploring Nyons. The garden, the pool and the house are gorgeous. The whole place is decorated with great style and panache. The food is superb. However, we found that the place definitely lacks human warmth. We found the proprietor very cool and somewhat dismissive. We stayed for two nights and on the second night he spent the whole evening talking and laughing in a loud and non-inclusive way with one couple who were obviously frequent and honoured visitors to the place. I found this to be rather rude and unprofessional and indicative of an attitude which took the shine off what could have been a perfect couple of days.

1. The location of this hotel is excellent for discovering the town of Nyons and its surroundings. There is plenty to see and do here. The hotel is a little oasis of tranquility - albeit during our stay there was building work going on next door which rather spoilt the atmosphere.
2. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was 'open' and while not a problem for us (as a couple) this might not suit everyone. There was a good aircon - necessary as it was very hot during our stay. We had some nice 'extras' such as good bath products and bathrobes - which one wouldnt necessarily expect in a country location. This in addition to the pool/jacuzzi and the spa facilities. We did not use the latter but there is a very tempting selection of treatments. The pool is a little too shady to encourage much lounging around but provides a welcome 'cooling off' after a day travelling.
3. The hotel is run by a charming family who speak good English (should you need it) and who were very helpful.
4. The restaurant is, as far as we could tell, Table d'Hote. On the two occasions we ate there we found the food to be of a very good quality and reasonably priced. On one evening the owner had organised a jazz night and it was absolutely lovely to be able to sit under the canopy of trees and listen to the music while eating dinner. It is worth remembering though that Nyons is a real 'foodie' town and there are some very good restaurants in town. Breakfast was overpriced in our view.

Just read the review posted on March 4 and think these people must have been delusional (and cheap). Early March is low season all over that part of France. Some people seem to like to complain! This place is an absolute delight.
We have stayed in guest houses/b&b's/hotels all over the world (and we are extremely fussy) and we both agree that this was by far one of the most enjoyable. It is absolutely beautifully decorated and appointed, the food is wonderful (no, not expensive) the atmosphere is gorgeous and the couple who run it are lovely, helpful and friendly. Our room was breathtakingly beautiful and the bed was so comfortable I am trying to buy the bedding they use online. We would definitely go again, and are hoping to.
