We stayed for one night on our trip along Route Napoléon. The hotel has new owners, a very nice couple, since January and they are clearly still working on the place. Do not be put off when you first pull into the car park; walk round the corner onto the beautiful terrace with a stunning view through the valley to Grenoble.
The hotel is quite isolated, but the restaurant is really good. The dining room I'd lovely, and seats about 20-25. The food is excellent, but don't fill up on a starter, because the portions are generous.
One drawback is the breakfast; its adequate but the owners should cut back on the size of dinners and put a bit more value into breakfast.
Overall, fantastic value as a stopover - do give it a try.
