Where it is located it is a small village so everything is close, u can go on some walks around which the staff advise us all, also providing so with shoes. The room is small but on each floor there is a lounge with tv and couch and also have a movie/reading lounge. Staff are lovely.

The hotel is basic, so basic that what you need to do during check out is to drop your room key on the counter, no question asked. well, you get the idea - nothing fancy in the room that's worth stealing.

But, I really have to applaud the hotel for the room spotless clean condition. It is VERY clean, no dust, no mold, no mold smell too. This is amazing especially in a cold and humid place like Cameron Highlands. Hot shower works too. Spacious room, spacious bathroom.

Now to the weaknesses. Parking space is limited. Only 1 power socket in the whole room. Thin wall, can get quite annoying during quiet night.

Conclusion is, this hotel is good if you are on budget. This hotel is good if you are not planning on staying in the room all day.

Room Tip: Do not choose the room closest to the stair, can be noisy because the common area is there.

Well situated in a quiet location just outside the town centre. We shared a family (twin-bedded) room for RM140 per night, as singles were not available; this was good value. Rooms, and the general decor, are plain, but quite adequate. The B&B enjoys a beautiful garden - sit outside at night, to enjoy its fragrances.

The manageress is helpful, and her deputy friendly; they can arrange local trips, with pick-ups from the premises.

Breakfast is extra, and basic Western.

Accommodation in Cameron Highlands is a bit more expensive than in the rest of Malaysia and the room we stayed in at KRS Pines was one of the cheaper options. The value for money however was not good at all. For 60 RM we got a Room with two bunk beds and a single bed. All beds made enough noise to wake the other two when you turn from one side to the other. The walls in KRS are super thin wood/plastic walls. You can hear everything. The no-shoe rule combined with a cold floor meant that we got a cold after just a day in Cameron Highlands.

It wasn't all bad though, the place is really clean, service is good and management will try to keep you happy.

But again, not enough value for the price that we payed. KRS Pines is an average guest house.

Room Tip: Maybe rooms on the second floor are more quiet.

Overpriced for what is essentially a room just a bed in it, in the hotel with the worlds thinnest walls - you can hear everything from several rooms away.

The room wasn't clean (dust, flies, spiders web), the breakfast was awful (anywhere that can't cook baked beans, surely shouldn't be offering food! They were raw. Presumably not microwaved enough - unlike the eggs!!). We came back after a hike and the breakfast we'd had was still on the tables waiting to be cleaned.

No wifi in rooms, no tv, "student halls" styled sofa room with 5 channels, people trapped in the dodgy lift and a poor location for the town.

Only good thing was the shower that had reasonable power and the man who worked there who was nice to chat with - but overall, stay somewhere else! There were guesthouse with balconies that we saw that looked much nicer...

The rooms are reasonably clean, simple, not much of a deco but the service and hospitality of the owner is no. 1! No carpark space, but could make do. Very near to the taman rata's town.. By foot can reach..good for value.. Will stay again!

This place is great value, relatively comfortable and very clean. It is not luxurious but you can't expect that for the price. We stayed on the second floor and had no issues with noise like other people have found - I am not sure if that was because the floor was not full or we had quiet neighbours or maybe it is just quieter up there?
