it is in a very accessable location compared to other tea estates. hence if on a short trip visit here instead of doing a long drive to the boh estate. very photogenic place. a bit steep to explore. free entry. can spend some time here just for the beautiful view n capture some great moments. did not visit the cafe but bought some tea at the shop. loved the flavour n aroma.

Loved this day trip - nine hours return from KL. Note the road is very windy. It was breathtaking to see the wonderful tea plants and consider where a simple cup of tea starts its journey. The cafe is a bit rough and ready and could do with some more attention to service and quality of dining - chipped cups, roughly served on dirty tables -however the view distracts you from what is not offered.
The coolness and freshness of the mouton air was a bonus from the heat and smog of KL.

Don't forget to continue your journey to the Strawberry fields.

We were only in Tanah Rata for one night, so we were a bit limited on time. We wanted to go visit a tea plantation. The big one (BOH) is like 45 minutes to an hour from town, so we decidedd to go here which was closer. We hitch hiked from town and caught a lift on the back of a pick up truck full of chicken fertalizer!! At least we were in the open air!! The scenery is really beautiful, but you HAVE to walk down a bit into the plantation. The shop is so crowded and so many people juststop at the edge of the plantation (right next to the road) and take pictures and go back to the shop. We walked down into the plantation and really got some amazing pictures and some good peaceful air as well.

I cannot compare this to the main one (BOH), but we were quite happy with our experience, as it only took a couple of hours total. I think the big one is just that, the same thing but just a lot bigger? Hitching a ride back to town was actually a lot easier than leaving btw...

TIP: look at the shop but don't buy, buy your tea in the local shops in town as it will be a lot cheaper

Worthwhile spending half an hour for a refreshing stop at Bharat Tea. You'll be greeted by an awesome view of the tea plantation. There is a short trail if you are game for it.

Visited the tea house on 5/06/2014. Enjoyed the greenery and tea and desserts. I'd recommend the masala tea! Its the best tea i had in Cameron Highlands. Would definitely return to this place.
