Just stayed there for a couple nights. The hotel is located right next to the bus station, so it is very convenient when you arrive. The hotel is probably the biggest one around, so you really cant miss it. However, it is off the main road (which is a big plus) and surrounded by a park and vegetations.

The rooms are very spacious and clean. The bathroom have a large shower and a tub!

There is no AC but really you dont need it. We stayed there in July and it is still chilly at night! There are mosquitoes around, but the hotel provides mosquito product that you can plug in at night. Even without it we were not bothered.

The breakfast was included in our deal and it was excellent!

The hotel also has a spa that offers traditional massages, and there is a gym right next door to the spa. Not large, but efficient.

Finally, there is no internet or wifi in the rooms. That is the only minor drawback, but there is free wifi in the lobby.

It is not the Hilton, but it is definitely one of the nicest hotel around. I would recommend it to anyone.

The hotel is located at the end of the village, some hiking trails are near by. Room was nothing special but okay, staff the same. The whole place is already a little bit old, but being there you spent most of the time outside anyway. Interne available for free, but only in the lobby and in the restaurant (also on terrace).

The room was damp and quite dingy. The walls are also paper thin. The towels were dirty and there was no hot water (these problems were rectified). We later noticed that the toilet was leaking and the sheets were dirty (they had blood stains on). By this time it was late and my wife was feeling unwell so we did not call reception as she was too ill to move rooms. They refused to give us a discount - apparently you have to keep on calling reception to get things fixed even when it is 1 in the morning and you are ill and exhausted. For what you pay, the level of cleanliness and service were appalling.

Room is big. Breakfast is ok with variety choice. Area of the resort is quiet. I would stay here again if i would come back to cameron highland again. 5 min walked from Bus or taxi stand. Plenty of parking area (we came with our car). Very convenience place and not crowded as Brinchang. It would have been perfect if we could access the internet in the room. Been to the spa, coffee scrub was good!

Room Tip: Our Room number was Block B 010, big and quiet.

Room 417 at the CENTURY PINES HOTEL CAMERON HIGHLANDS: For a short stay the CENTURY PINES HOTEL CAMERON HIGHLANDS is ok, however there are some areas which need fast improvement! When you enter room 417 it becomes immediate clear that it has had a recent renovation. Room 417 looks spacious and airy, that and a little balcony with view of the jungle vows for a pleasant stay. Strange though, one comfy chair…and if you are travelling with another person he/she has to sit on the bed!??? Beds sleep well and there is no need to feel cold as the duvet is more than enough. However, having said that I need to mention that the edges of the duvet cover were dirty! It looked very much like that part of the laundry had been dragged over the ground whilst drying! The pillow cases were all filthy, full with weird and iffy marks, the extra pillows in the more than ample cupboards were filthy as well. Some guest must have dribbled dinner all over it! Bathroom looked ok, however with 2 fittings for glasses, only one was filled with a filthy glass! Taps gave more than ample hot/cold water, easy to open en close. The toilet section must have been an “after-thought” although the seat was comfy. The flush was not good! The shower part must have been an “after-thought” as well, did not look inviting and was grubby. There is a separate bath and that too was filthy. If we had had grass seeds they would have sprouted overnight! The bath had a separate shower fitting. Be very very careful with the grip on the wall! Part of the grip came out and being wet and slippery you could seriously damage to yourself! The two bath towels and one bathmat were fluffy. Room comes with TV and coffee/tea making section. Cupboard space is more then enough. Room has a safe but we did not use it purely because we were afraid that we could not open it again! The in-room fridge did not work! It became very obvious that the CENTURY PINES HOTEL CAMERON HIGHLANDS only caters for one guest even when they know that two guests will be staying in the room. One shower/shampoo bottle for 2 guests and a tiny bar of soap. The "extra’s" included 4 cotton buds and a shower cap. We found black hairs everywhere in the bathroom and being of the “white hair variety” it sure put us off! Breakfast was not bad although honesty dictates me to say that that bit is mainly casters for Muslim guests. There is bread, a toaster and egg station. You’ll find a number of open bowls with thin peanut butter, a reddish jam and a plate with make-believe butter, all extremely unhygienic as mane guests sneeze and cough over it! Watch that you don't mistake the bowls with a substance which looks like sugar for sugar! Yes, very confusing because the 4 bowls are actiually SALT!!! The dining room is not inviting at all, however for RM204 per night for 2 people one can’t say it is a bad deal. It needs to be said that the hotel is very noise because ALL OTHER GUESTS slam their room doors at all hours of day and night! There are worse deals in the Cameron Highlands, that’s for sure! This hotel is not bad for 1 or 2 nights, it is very close to the main shopping centre/bus station.

Room Tip: there are no quiet rooms all rooms have great vieh

The 2 good things about this hotel were its proximity to Tanah rata main street with its bars and restaurants and the ground floor garden room in a separate building from the main hotel. The hotel seems to cater largely for conferences, the bar was closed, the breakfast was adequate and it could be noisy at night. However, the room was clean and comfortable and the private outside garden area was a bonus.

Room Tip: Ground floor garden room

Room: Deluxe (superking sized bed - fits 2 adults and 2 children)
Price: (book on www.agoda.com for best discounted rates)

For the price, we considered this hotel to be satisfactory. The staff in general were polite but needless to say, (like any other CH's hotels - even the more expensive ones) there is room for improvement in the hotel's maintenance and housekeeping. The TV remote control was faulty, the refrigerator has no power, they forgot to provide a bathroom floor towel on the first night and did not provide a replacement VAPE p.mat (to keep away the mosquito) for the second night but we called the reception and housekeeping delivered it to us after a 20min wait. These are small issues that can be slighted.

We like:
(1) The room faces the open carpark has a nice view.
(2) Hotel is near trail to the Parit Falls.
(3) Superking bed (few hotels in Cameron Highlands offer this bedding) for our family of 2 adults 2 children.
(4) Buffet breakfast (included and free for children under 12) is a wholesome mix of western and asian options.

We dislike:
(1) The early morning prayer from the mosque beside the hotel disrupts our sleep. You will not hear the prayer if you keep the balcony doors closed but we had them opened to let in the air (the hotel uses natural ventilation). I was still sleepy to look at the time but I gathered that the prayer was at 5.30am or 6am, and it may have lasted for about 5-10min. There was another prayer at around 8am and an afternoon prayer at 4.30pm.
(2) Firm bed may be uncomfy for those (like us) who prefers a more springy bed.
(3) The wet, cold bathroom floor in the bathroom in the morning (due to condensation or perhaps poor waterproofing because we found the ceiling to be dripping), but they provide rubber slippers.
