our trips to Caithness are not complete without a stay at Antlers, huge rooms, lovely and clean, and the breakfasts are huge, no need to eat for the rest of the day. 2106 is the next planned trip, but we will be back at Antlers for sure

The location was perfect and having read the read the reviews we decided to book for 5 days b/b;-well "it did what it said on the tin"!!! Although a "recent new build" and fit for purpose ;there were NO bedroom replacements ;ie:-t/rolls ;tea or coffee etc.no sheet change or even a bath room mirror ;.The breakfasts were very very good and apparently dinners were" obtainable" but never offered the opportunity,N.B.;-cash only for settlement !!!! on "bills" In one word ;-COMMUNICATION ;- there I"ve said it ;- just needs a TWEEK;- sorry

Room Tip: try "downstairs"; atmosphere closer; ;seemed to be forgotten upstairs !!

Amazingly, no one of the reviews I had read before talked about the mist, the snooker table in the kitchen or the antler statue in the garden. When we arrived to The Antlers, in the late night and after an exhausting drive in the mist, we were surprised by some of those surrealistic details, like the massaging sofa in the big bedroom. You don't find this in every B&B. But this is a special place that Sandra and Sandy run with extraordinary kindness, good humour and devotion. Their generosity should be legendary, as their breakfasts are. You never thought that you were able to eat so much!
The Antlers is not for everybody (not for short minded tourists who expect luxury accomodation and silent service, for instance) but if you love authentic people and places, please go there. You'll never regret it!

Having stayed here three years ago, we were so looking forward to returning to 'The Antlers'. We are currently spending three months touring the UK, as we did three years ago, and 'The Antlers' is one of only two B&B's that we made sure to book again, on this second trip. Sandy and Sandra's hospitality is second to none . . Sandra's cooking, both for breakfasts and the evening meals, is utterly fabulous, and her dinner menus in particular really reflect local cuisine, featuring such delicious items as fresh lobster, venison, Cullen Skink and Cranachan, to name just a few of the choices. With a superbly comfortable Super King size bed, convenient ensuite and fabulous views from not only the bedroom window, but also the dining room, it just doesn't come better than 'The Antlers'. Thank you Sandy and Sandra for yet another very comfortable and happy stay! :)

We stayed at the Antler coming back from the Highlands. Best B&B we had on our one week trip in Scotland. Great hospitality, spacious & beautufully decorated rooms (free wifi in entire house), very clean, excellent dinner and breakfast (both with choice). Loved the spectacular view of the coast! We will be back!

One of our final B&B's before returning to the south. The Antlers was welcoming and in a magnificent setting. Our room was HUGE and comfortable and offered one of the best night sleep we'd had in ages!! Breakfast was to order and offered a wide choice and we even took up the offer of evening meal (not to be missed!!!) Friendly and welcoming would definitely recommend to all.

We stopped here on route to John O' Groats and spent a lovely night in the company of the friendly proprietors Sandy and Sandra. We received a warm welcome, a beautiful bedroom for the night, the offer of dinner and a spectacular breakfast.
Good old fashioned hospitality, we will be going back!!

Room Tip: 2 of the bedrooms have a view of the ocean!
