“Highlight of our 6 week NZ trip!”
Reviewed 6 July 2014 via mobile

We did a one day kayak trip from Anakiwa in the Queen Charlotte sounds and it was definitely one of our highlights in New Zealand. We were in a tandem kayak and given safety briefing beforehand. We saw lots of wildlife (NZ fur seals, blue penguin, lots of birds) and kayaked all the way out to level with Picton and back again with tasty home baked goods for lunch on a deserted beach. Our guide Libby was fantastic! She had excellent knowledge about the local wildlife and tailored the trip to our abilities, allowing us to swap and have a go in her single kayak. Definitely go with this company if you have your own transport rather than any of the companies in Picton. There is far less boat traffic and far more wildlife in anakiwa. The trip also includes a hot shower at the end which is a lifesaver if you're campervanning! Thanks for a brilliant time. We've been inspired to continue with kayaking when we get back to the UK!

“Lovely afternoon of sea kayaking”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

We went sea kayaking on a half day trip with Aaron. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife and plants within it. He was also incredibly easy to chat to. He looked after our group really well making sure we understood the basics of what we needed to do and all the safety aspects. We really enjoyed our afternoon.

“superb a must do in this area”
Reviewed 7 April 2014 via mobile

Called in spontaneous to check out prices and availability. Decided to do a half day kayak tour for $ 40 per person. As we are unexperienced people in kayaking we got a thoroughly safety briefing and felt very comfortable with the advice. Nice and friendly service will use them next time for mountain biking!

“Excellent customer service, beautiful trip!”
Reviewed 31 March 2014 via mobile

Rented a tandem kayak for five days from sea kayak adventures in mid march 2014 and can highly recommend these guys. From their first, detailed response to my initial enquiry, through the end of the rental driving back to the shop (they went out their way to drop us off at the picton bus terminal, even stopped at a bakery for us on the way!) these guys were top notch. Good equipment, great attention to safety (weather, itinerary, equipment issued, etc), and excellent customer service. I would absolutely hire from these folks again.

“Great time in the Marlborough Sounds”
Reviewed 21 March 2014

We hired kayaks from Aaron and Nat who gave us some friendly advice on a route and an overnight stay, as an experienced kayaker back home I had requested a single kayak, this wasn't a problem (it was more of an issue elsewhere in NZ!). Kayaks were picked up later and we overnighted in a great setting in Mistletoe Bay before Mountain biking back the Queen Charlotte track the next day. Very relaxed couple of days and was a great way to start our adventures in New Zealand.
