Came back again to the premier inn after a disaster staying down the road at the travelodge last time i was down, and nothing has changed, it might have even got better, everything was the same as before but they appear to have upped their game again, even more friendly, even more smiles and just a breath of fresh air.
the last time i was down this premier inn was full up (get in there early if you want to book, they fill up fast) this obviously shows how popular this place is. so i had to stay in the travelodge. (bad times) this time i booked well in advance and this time booked using their website. which is really easy to use. once again on arrival it was the same young man i met before, (Nick, got his name this time) and he was brilliantly professional once again, he even remembered me from before. which is always a nice touch. in the evening there was a different receptionist on (blonde) and she was so bubbly and enthusiastic it just made you smile.
once again a brilliant stay and i hope this place never changes because i WILL be back.

Pros: good value and cheap considering the south coast is generally overpriced, clean sheets, clean towels, newly refurbished rooms and hotel, pipping hot showers, relatively good furnishings (considering the price bracket). Free parking. Good value standard fry up for breakfast with all you can eat cereals. Really friendly staff all weekend (only person who wasn't friendly was receptionist first thing Monday am who was surly).

Cons: can be noisy if your room faces the main road, service at breakfast as painfully slow and waiting staff had to be pushed to offer us the Costa coffee (as the coffee in the thermos was dire), sheets a bit "polyester" (ie non breathable) but probably expected for the price bracket and everything else you get.

Would definitely stay here again, a model for all mid-budget hotels. Really pleased with it and its a vast improvement from the Travelodge up the road for about the same price.

as usual there was a bar/ restaurant adjacent, what was unusual was that the level of staff and food was well above the norm, the meal deal on offer was great value, the breakfast in particular was excellent all cooked to order staff here as in hotel first class

I stayed here with my 2 kids aged 15 and 11 for 4 nights, while visitng family in rustington.
i found the rooms very comfy but very basic too. there was no phone in th e room or public pay phone in reception.
We had the breakfast option whihc we thought would be great.
The second day we were their we went in for breakfast and the cheif had left so we were unable to have a cooked breakfast only the continetal was avaiable.
Which was ok but if you tried to cook the toast it always burnt. the settings weren't very friendly to alter.
If you are just after a very quick stop place and are not fussy with bits its ok.

i booked to stay in this hotel for a quick visit to see my parents in Rustington, i have stayed in Premier Inns before and they have always been to a very high standard, but this one was exceptioional.
when i phoned up to make the booking the girl on the end of the phone was really polite and well spoken and she catered for my every need without sounding like a robot and actually wanting to make the best possible experience for me as an individual.
when i came to check in on the afternoon of my arrival the reception area was extremly well kept and very clean, you could tell that a lot of hard work gets put into first apearences, and it only continued to get better, the receptionist, a young man, was extremly polite and attentive, he again talked to me as an individual and catered for all my needs no matter how big or how small, he even offered to tell me all the great places to visit and all the important pubs in the local area, whoever trained these staff deserve a serious pat on the back as they are among the most curtious and profetional people i have ever met.
when i did get into my room again i was amazed at the high quality furnishing and the overall cleanliness of the place, couldn't have asked for more, and the beds!! oh my god!! never had a better nice sleep.
I also had a quick drink in the restaurant next door 'the roundstone' i think it was and agian all the staff in there were really profetional and just great really!!
all in all i would say that this is one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in and definatly the best Premier Inn, possibly in the country!!!
A real credit to the brand and to the business!!
Well done all

We stayed at the Premier Inn in Littlehampton while visiting relatives in the area. The guaranteed parking was an important deciding factor, as was the competitive pricing.

We were very impressed with the hotel. My husband, a hotel veteran, had warned us not to expect too much from a budget chain, but he was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the accommodation.

We had a family room, which was spacious and very clean. Storage in the room was basic in design but more than adequate for a short stay, with helpful details such as coat hooks by the door. Both the double bed and single bed were very comfortable, and even cot bedding was supplied (though, as in most hotels, only the rigid foam travel cot base was provided- we took along our child's own travel cot mattress). The room included a TV with freeview channels, a hairdryer, and a kettle with teabags etc. Air-con was straightforward and effective. Perhaps the most impressive feature was the well-designed lighting system, especially the highly directional bedside lighting- this might seem like an irrelevance until you stay in a family room with small children who go to sleep earlier than you do.

The bathroom was spotlessly clean. Though it didn't appear to be luxurious, the fittings were of a very high quality and the power shower was excellent. Dispensers of soap and shower gel were provided, rather than mini bottles of toiletries. We didn't have enough towels, but the helpful and friendly receptionist immediately provided more as soon as we asked.

Meals are available at the pub restaurant next door. Dinner was fine, typical chain restaurant, but we were very impressed with breakfast. All you can eat for £7.50, and the children's breakfasts were free. The continental breakfast offered a wide choice of fruit, cereal, granola, juice etc, and there is a choice of items from the cooked breakfast menu. Restaurant staff (in particular our breakfast waitress) were polite, friendly, and very patient with small children.

In all, a comfortable stay in a good value hotel. It seems as though Premier Inn are trying to promote good customer service within a budget chain framework- in this case it works very well.
