“Stunning Place To Stay ⭐️”
Reviewed 22 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

We stayed at the CBH for a girls weekend. We arrived at the time asked and were met by a very charming gent :) who showed us round and explained where things were.

The house was immaculate and super clean, bedding was crisp and kitchen spotless.

The hot tub easy to use and very well looked after we were also told about the do's and don't via the hand book which really helped :) it was great fun but sadly at night no out door lighting which was a shame is this due to neighbouring houses ?The patio area again immaculate and very modern end so well kept

The beds were lovely and as I said super clean and very well made my only issue was that the mattresses were quiet uncomfortable which was a shame but the rest of the house made up for that one tiny issue.
The decor is gorgeous throughout the house and in the large lounge area the log fire is a stunning feature, only we couldn't find the glove to open the log fire door so improvised with a very thick scarf. That might be something you need to look into for future guests.
The shower and baths are great! The power is really good and again great to see it super clean too.
Overall we all said how much we'd love to come back in the future and how we'd highly recommend it to friends and family for a get away.
Thanks again for having us

“Ever so slightly disappointed”
Reviewed 3 February 2016 for a stay in January 2016

We booked the Coral Beach House after reading reviews and the place looked stunning with a great location right next to the beach.
Although the house is spacious with a great communal sitting room & the kitchen is large it seems not a lot of thought was given to the actual layout. 2 dishwashers, huge cooker and the smallest sink ever!
On all of the terms & conditions that I received beforehand there was no mention that there was a restriction on what time the hot tub could be used until; so be aware that if you're wanting to relax after 10pm with a drink & unwind in the hot tub....you can't! The house happily sleeps 12 - though the hot tub only seats 7 - so shifts are required which is a huge shame and a massive down point of this house.
The other down point of this house is the £1,000 damage deposit - none of us could relax all weekend in fear of damaging anything and particularly as there is no inventory - it is worrying not knowing what may get deducted for breaking a glass! Even more worrying is that my bank card details had been kept from the initial deposit - and the damage deposit was deducted which means that they were holding my 3 digit security code in order to do this! Fairly disturbing!
Generally we all enjoyed our yearly girls get together but extremely upset at the hot tub 'rule' and that we couldn't all chill out together in it. The beach was lovely, the locals in The Clockhouse pub hilarious. Unfortunately, we all voted not to go back. I know this is just my point of view and my experience will not be the same as everyone's but the hot tub was a massive important part of our relaxing get together!!!!!!

Dear Rachael
We are blown away and very disappointed by your email and your comments in this review and you felt you had not experienced the 5* service that all our guests experience pre, during and post their stay, although on check-in, during and post your stay you had not alluded to this.
The Coral Beach House has a 5* Trip Advisor rating with over 20 reviews and refute your comments. You arrived at the Coral Beach House within its sub-tropical garden to the fire lit, candles lit and were very excited and happy on arrival and likewise at check-out. You never mentioned you were unhappy with any of the things you mention above when our Property Manager checked you out and asked if you had had a lovely weekend. Indeed you told him you had had a lovely weekend and it had all gone well; you apologized for burning a tea towel which you were told would not affect your damage deposit.
I am surprised to learn that you were unrelaxed because of the damage deposit which, upon taking it, you were advised it was for big items such as the hot tub and not for small breakages which happen accidentally all the time. It was returned in full to your card first thing Monday morning post your departure on the Sunday evening so we are unsure as to why it was a problem for you during your stay.
We would not expect to have an inventory on arrival as we are not concerned about the smaller items as discussed above and our guests would not expect one either. We are always told of any damage upon check-out and the honesty goes both ways and there is rarely a penalty for damage (twice in 8 years across all the houses).
You then state that you were disturbed that your CCV was held from your initial deposit. We have a lot of high net worth individuals who stay regularly at our properties who ask us to take the balance of the rental from their card when it is due, and indeed to process the damage deposit prior to their stay from the same card – hence the reason for retaining the information until the end of the stay. At no time is this information at any risk and at no time are any monies taken from any card without prior authorization from the holder.
No-one has ever complained about the size of the sink and indeed it was something I had questioned to be told by guests that it was fine as there were two dishwashers.
You mention you were not aware of the fact that we ask our guests not to use the hot tub after 10pm. We are on a quiet private residential seaside estate and are extremely respectful of our neighbours. In fact this information is all over our paperwork. Of course we are happy for our guests to be outside all night, but we just ask that our neighbours are respected and not disturbed as you would feel too.
You also mention that the hot tub was the most important USP for your staying at the Coral Beach House but that it was too small – it is advertised as a professionally serviced 7-seater Beachcomber hot tub set at 38 degrees all year round and anything that seats 12 would be deemed as a swimming pool, so I am surprised to read that this spoilt your stay and would be a main reason for not returning.
I am sad that you found the bedding only worth 3* – this is the first time I have been told this. All the mattresses are 1000 pocket spring with professionally laundered crisp Egyptian cotton linen with non-allergic pillows and duvet which most people find to be very luxurious.
Thousands of guests have stayed at my beach houses since they have been up for holiday rentals since 2008 and we have never received comments like this.

“Fabulous Friends and Family Getaway!”

The Coral Beach House has a 5 star spec. The bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen are all above standard. It was an easy getaway from the city. This house has something for everyone, a great place for gathering or finding a corner by yourself. On it's own, the house is incredible, but the garden is like escaping to an amazing oasis. We were just steps from the sea, which our dog love to walk along every day. All of your needs will be met, the property manager was very responsive to questions and requests. We would highly recommend this house!

“Exceptional property - exceeded expectations”
Reviewed 6 December 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Spacious, well fitted, well equipped, comfy beds, luxurious bathrooms, beautiful garden ..... i can't rate this highly enough.

I've stayed in many rental properties of varying standards, but this one was in a different league. The owner has really thought about the guest experience and how the property will be used. The open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area works fantastically for a large group. The kitchen has two dishwashers and a surplus of cutlery & crockery so that there was never an occasion when we had to wash up before the next meal. Most rental properties are equipped with the exact number of utensils to match the occupants, which as customers we just accept. It was a revelation to have spares of everything! Little touches like that made the weekend very relaxing. I'd genuinely struggle to find a single thing to improve on in this property.

“Fabulous, 5* holiday house, perfect to share with friends”
Reviewed 18 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

We stayed at the Coral Beach house in November and thought the place was fabulous! Finished to a 5* hotel standard throughout but with a cosy feel, it was perfect for our girly weekend away, catching up, doing crafts, enjoying the hot tub and relaxing. It was extremely well equipped, not just the exact number of each thing, as is usual with most rentals and two dishwashers!. Very close to the beach which was great for a few November wind-swept walks. Caroline, Stewart and the team were very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back.

“Fab Family Weekend Away!”
Reviewed 4 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We stayed at Coral Beach House last weekend to celebrate our eldest son's 40th birthday. As soon as we walked in we were stunned! Such a beautiful house, dressed so well almost like home. The kitchen was amazing, so well equipped with everything you could possibly need. All the bedrooms and bathrooms were beautiful. The attention to detail was second to none!
We were blessed with good weather for the end of October so the hot tub was a very relaxing way to sit and chat and while away the time. It was a shame we were there only for 3 days.

All I can say is there is no point in Carling doing luxury beach houses because Caroline and her wonderful team have well and truly beaten them to it. They even arranged blazing sunshine all weekend :) If you are thinking of booking, stop thinking and just do it before someone else snaps it up. Not only is the house exquisitely designed and decorated (inside out), all for its guests ultimate warmth and comfort, it is positioned literally a stones throw from the beach. We have just spent some very precious time with extended family which amounted to little more than relaxing in the gorgeous wild garden and enjoying coastal walks with our little dog who literally refused to get in the car to come home. We were made to feel so very welcome and so very comfortable, we were loathed to leave the house. With every service imaginable at our fingertips, we didn't need to. So quite simply, we didn't :) Thank you for a wonderful stay.
