After being warmly greeted by Catrina and shown two rooms from which to choose, both beautifully and tastefully furnished in subdued provencal style with lovely linens, bath accessories and even sachets of the local specialty nougat, we were treated to drinks in the courtyard looking over the vines. Being a little way from the village of Allan and about 5k's from Montelimar and not having pre-arranged dinner, we had to travel back into town for dinner, where there were many lovely restaurants to choose from. Breakfast was lovely in the home and we were engaged in delightful conversation with both Catrina and her daughter (none of us fluent in both languages- but it was fun practising!). A 1 or 2 hour drive around the surrounding area gives you a wonderful look at the fields, vines and villages of Provence, though the lavender was not in bloom in April - but still lovely. Charming in every way. Would love to return sometime.
