“EMMA AND ADRIANS WONDERFUL WEDDING DAY”
Reviewed 31 July 2010

Our Daughter was married here on 29th May 2010. The wedding day was wonderful and was made special by Sylvia the wedding planner, the Manager and staff from arriving at the hotel to leaving the following morning. The wedding service was beautiful and the wedding breakfast was excellent, the room looked stunning. From our arrival at the hotel they took over and the day went smoothly, they made our Daughters and her new Husbands wedding day very special, the atmosphere made everyone feel really relaxed and many of the guests said it was the best wedding they had been to. The hotel also organised the disco for the evening and we could not have chosen better ourselves.
All that I can say is that if you want a wedding day to remember without any complaints this is the place to come. Also another bonus to using this hotel is that yours is the only wedding as there is only ever one wedding at a time at this hotel so you get all the attention.
Sent by Mrs.J Barnes the proud Mother of the bride.

Stayed here during a cycle trip. Got a great deal including dinner. Rooms are a little dated but perfectly comfortable and quiet. The service everywhere in the hotel was excellent. We would not normally eat in the hotel but dinner was included and so we did - the food was first class and again with excellnt service,. The breakfast was as good - all freshly cooked, not stood in trays under trays keeping warm

The hotel looked attractive externally but we were very disappointed with the double bedroom which was very small and contained a "pull-out " small double bed rather than the usual king ,one expects to find in most hotels throughout the world. Compared to it's rival, the Statham Lodge, the Lymm hotel falls way short of the mark. Breakfast was average and no more. I would always chooose the Satham Lodge in future and it is cheaper too. Won't be back!

Stayed one night on our trip South on a Dinner bed and breakfast rate. Room was adequate but rather dated furnishings and fittings and a very old fashioned portable television. Bathroom was avocado colour which was obviously 1970's and certainly needs upgrading. Dinner was first class with excellent menu and great service.
Was ideal for one night stay which was what we required.

Stayed here many years ago, before MacDonald Hotels took it over, and we were delighted to find it still as wonderful as ever. So close to the M6 that it is an ideal stopping off point between Scotland and the south of England. The room in the main hotel was clean, comfortable and large. Sadly one of the lamps was for decoration only as it had an old type plug (!) and the hairdryer did not work so I had to go down to reception with wet hair to ask for a hairdryer. The receptionist was not surprised so I presume it happens often and I feel this should be checked and remedied before guests have the inconvenience. So for that they lose one point.

We had dinner, which was superb, and we particularly liked the way we were offered three types of hot bread. Breakfast was a treat - well cooked and served by an extremely pleasant lady.

The village of Lymm is very pretty and it was lovely to get off the motorway for the night.

I drove up from the Gatwick area and opted for this hotel because of its location which was only 6 miles from a clients office where I had a meeting the next day. On arrival, the hotel looked very nice and well kept. The reception desk clerk was very polite and I was given room 146 in the annexe wing. The room may be viewed by some as dated but it was spotless and very well maintained. The bathroom also was dated but completely functional. My only gripe with the bathroom was that it had a hand held shower. The bed was very comfortable but I did find the pillows on the hard side, I did not use any of the facilities (bar/ restaurant) and only opted for room service however the selection is limited and pricey but very delicious. I would gladly stay in this hotel again.

Whilst using the facilities for a conference the "Locked" room was accessed whilst we ate lunch. A wallet was taken and then through spoof phone calls a substancial amount of money was taken out of the targets bank account.

Having read the reviews I see that another user had items stolen.

This again may not be the hotels fault but as ever be vigilant!
