“Jamie Porter is one to watch!”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

Fantastic food - a very pleasant surprise!. Head chef, Jamie Porter is a potential star of the future. Felt that in some dishes he was a little over ambitious and that they would benefit by simplifying a little but put this down to the enthusiasm of a young chef. Otherwise the food was absolutely brilliant. Restaurant lacks a little in atmosphere - and why, oh why, didn't they build it at the front of the hotel! But first class, friendly service - a great evening.

“Sunny Sunday evening supper”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

Drinks on the balcony watching the Cornish sunset, view somewhat limited though. Friendly bar staff , efficient waitressing with good humour....nice! Great to see the open kitchen and their working conditions. Although the food menu was not that extensive, it was great to see local produce being used, Porthilly Oysters & Mussels for example & the quality was excellent. The chefs turned out food of a great standard, wonderful lobster ,delicious duck and superb crab. Wines not too badly priced & a well made Irish coffee! We will definitely be returning to eat here, with such stiff competition around this area you can definitely hold head up high St Moritz team......well done indeed!

“Very good locally sourced food, excellent staff.”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

Stayed at the hotel for a few days and ate dinner in the restaurant twice. The food was imaginative and of very good quality. It was nice to see so much locally sourced products - and not just fish - being used. The wine list was more than satisfactory and reasonably priced. My only criticism is a lack of choices or daily special, but this only becomes apparent if you eat there on more than one occasion in short succession. The staff were all exemplary, knowledgeable, friendly without being in your face and unfailingly polite. Amid stiff opposition in the area, I'd highly recommend it.

“Excellent friendly service”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

After an awful experience at St Enodoc Hotel having tried to reserve breakfast for a special occasion and frankly treated very badly it was sheer delight to be warmly welcomed at St Moritz Restaurant for a Bucksfizz breakfast. Sraff were cheerful, friendly and made the occasion enjoyable. Strongly advise readers to avoid St Enodoc in favour of St Moritz. The quality of the food was excellent and good value.

“Average restaurant”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

Staff were very professional, and kitchen looked very well organised, but no atmosphere, a little soft music in the background would help, food was average, I'm not saying it wasn't good but quite pricey for what it was, breakfast was a good choice but wasn't explained very well what you could or couldn't have, I wouldn't have expected streaky bacon with the spa breakfast, it should have been lean, and it was under cooked.
