This was such a lucky find (Thank you, TripAdvisor). Chosen for a short break in Cornwall, we spent four days enjoying the owner's hospitality and kindness, in a perfect location. We had a sea view from our lovely room, exclusive use of a separate bathroom, and access to a little kitchen which was a thoughtful additional touch. Breakfast was delicious, and set us up for the day. Combined with stunning scenery and fabulous weather, this was a special treat for us both. Top marks from us for Daymer House!

A great location. Nothing was too much trouble for friendly owner. Lovely character house. Right by beach. Rooms spacious and comfortable. A delicious breakfast. For what it is and it's location price was very reasonable. Cant recommend highly enough.

chose this for its location but its convenience to the beach was insignicant compared with the wonderful peace and tranquility it provided. Despite it being the end of September we were able to sit in the extensive garden with a coffee and enjoy the sunshine with just some gentle birdsong breaking the silence, it was such a pleasant change. Rooms were comfortable and views stunning, breakfast was faultless, nothing was too much trouble

We booked this B & B as my husband used to holiday at the beach when he was little. There weren't many options of places to stay, but as soon as we got to the place I knew that didn't matter! A large detached house with beautiful gardens, with the sea peeping over the top of the trees. The beach was amazingly close, as well as the partially-submerged St Enodoc's Church where St John Betjeman is buried.
The house was tastefully decorated, and our room was large and didn't have the feel of a B & B with lots of notices etc. We didn't have an ensuite, but a private toilet/shower room that was spotless. There was also a kitchenette with drinks-making facilities, as well as a fridge and microwave, and lots of crockery. The breakfast was delicious and we were asked if 9am was OK, which was perfect (I dislike how you have to get up early for breakfast when you want a lie-in on holiday).
The landlady was a genuinely lovely person, relaxed and friendly. It was a very peaceful stay and I would highly recommend it.

Excellent setting peaceful, very friendly & comfortable bed.
Its only a 5 minute walk to the beach.the breakfast was excellent.
The bath is big enough to get the whole family in!
I had a christening to go to it was 5 minutes walk to the church. the views are fantastic you can walk for miles across the sand when the tides out, the coastal foot path is a pleasant walk to Polzeath.
The pubs & restaurants in & around Polzeath stop serving food at 9pm that was really the only downside.
All in all Daymer house is very pleasant & friendly place to stay, i would recommend it to everyone.

Room Tip: Get a room with on suite if that is your preference.

What a lovely B & B and the location is brilliant if you fancy getting away from it all...

Situated in North Cornwall, not far from Padstow although I was happy to be in Daymer Bay itself. The beach is a stones throw away from the B & B and the coastline there is spectacular with great beach/cliff side walks and plenty of fresh air to be had! It's also close to a golf course if that's your thing?!

The actual B & B is large, elegant and well looked after by its owners who really made me feel welcome. I had a very good sized bedroom with a seaview (!) and a shared bathroom. This was fine considering that I seemed to be the only one using it... The shared kitchenette for guests was also a bonus, helping to make your stay a little cheaper should you wish to prepare your own food.

Breakfast was both yummy and varied and definitely a good kick start to the day.

I would definitely go back and would recommend this for those who enjoy a peaceful location with a warm welcome and delicious breakfasts.
