“A great place to stay !”
Reviewed 6 November 2013

Our Group of 16 British Cyclists "The Jolly Wheelers" received a warm welcome from the lovely Chiara and the staff of the Albergo Roma when we stayed at the hotel on 19th September 2013 ( Day 2 of our "Giro" ) . We left our bikes in a secure garage beneath the hotel and gathered outside in the delightful and popular "cosmopolitan" terrace bar/café before dining in the newly opened restaurant . The food was excellent and the service was professional & attentive. The rooms are modern, clean , comfortable and the Half Board room rate very reasonable. The Albergo Roma is undoubtedly a great place to stay .

We stayed at the property for two nights mid-week. Borgo is a small, quiet village, but very beautiful with tree lined streets, and a great pedestrian "main street" with great shops and cafes. The hotel sits at the west end of the pedestrian section of town, and is a sparkling jewel. The place is spotless, and the staff were ever present attending to the property.

As Americans, I think they were a little unsure of what to do with us, but they were always charming and helpful. There is a great bar/cafe with one of the most amazing outdoor patios we've ever enjoyed. They have tables and chairs, umbrellas, and heaters all positioned on the vast front porch area, making for a perfect spot to unwind.

We didn't try the newly opened restaurant, but based on the selections at the bar, and the overall effort that the owners have obviously made, we can't imagine that theirs isn't one of the better choices in the area.

Parking was plentiful and free, and unlike many hotels in Italy, wi-fi was available in our room. I didn't check specifically, but I don't believe we were charged for it either.

I would HIGHLY recommend the Albergo Roma to anyone needing clean, modern, and delightful accommodation in the Valtaro region. Business or leisure.

Room Tip: Early morning (as in 5am) activity seemed to be quite "loud" on the south facing side of t...

We stayed at the Roma hotel for a few days to visit a genuine rural Italian village and we were pleasantly surprised. The room was immaculately clean, the hotel had an excellent restaurant attached and a very modern bar area that had a cosmopolitan atmosphere and was very welcoming. The staff were kind, attentive, accommodating and professional. I really couldn’t flaw any aspect of the hotel. It’s a hotel that was recommended to me and is one I am happy to recommend. Thank you to all the staff there for an enjoyable stay and I hope to come back again next year.
