Have been to the Swan several times now. Last time was a Thursday lunch and the restaurant was very busy. I think that says what good food and good value the pub is. Prompt service with a smile from the friendly bar staff. Will definitely be going. Particularly good for a sunny afternoon as there are a number of tables outside. Plenty of parking is another bonus. Will be returning for food very soon.

This is a nice and popular pub - But, the service has been getting less good over the time I have been going here.

The food is nice - but the portions could perhaps be a bit more generous for the prices being charged.

This lunchtime, my wife ordered the Salmon - When it arrived it was not cooked in the middle, so she asked for it to be returned to the kitchen to finish it off under the grill - when it came back, it was well cooked, but the salad off her plate had been taken away in the kitchen, so she asked for this to be replaced - When we went into the bar the staff were openly gossiping about the 'lairry' woman who had made a fuss about a bit of salad !

The manner of the younger bar staff was also very condescending in general - Which is a shame as it lets down what is a nice place - At least the senior staff member came to apologise to us which was appreciated.

Been using the pub for many years. Have eaten here occasionally in the past. Brought my parents here for a 12:45 lunch. Promptly ordered and an hour later still awaiting our main course. A shame as it's a great pub. Nice setting and real ales on tap.

Food here is always good but really the service is getting worse. This is the second time we waited 1 hour for a ciabatta after being told a 20 min wait. Waitress was very smugg when she eventually delivered the food. Not going back.

We stopped here after a long walk with our puppy and we had booked a table but changed our mind to sit outside as it was such a lovely day. When we first arrived it was all very relaxed and the one member of staff that was serving food outside was very friendly. However it became busy very quickly and the poor girl was rushed off her feet. I really felt for her. At times the queue at the bar was huge and people were waiting for half an hour to order food and drinks.
We had lovely starter - baked Camembert with chutney, it was very tasty but unfortunately the waitress didn't tell the kitchen that we had finished so we had to wait over an hour for our main course by which time we were starving. There were others around us complaining of the long wait and I think it's a real shame as it's a great pub in a fantastic setting with a really interesting and well thought out menu.

Overall I enjoyed our lunch but they need to think about their staffing situation and anticipate busy times in order to keep their customers happy and returning.
