Twelve of us spent a very enjoyable morning on the Lady-Florence to celebrate a friends birthday, we were the only group on the boat and were greeted by the crew and helped aboard. We received a welcoming drink and short helpful talk by the captain. Thou the boat is small there was ample room for all us to have a walk around(or sit in the warm) and watch beautiful local country side and wild life go by while we waited for breakfasts to be cooked. We didn't have very good weather as it was very cold but we came preprepared and were rapped up well.
The food was served in the main cabin and was well presented and very enjoyable, Grapefruit to start followed by (Egg Sausage Bacon Tomatoes Potatoes) and plenty of tea and coffee and toast my sort of breakfast.
While on board the captain gave a running commentary on points of interest and pulled in as close as possible to wild life without spooking them.
The trip was about 3 hours and near the end we had apple pie and muffins with tea or coffee out-side on deck. Everyone enjoyed it and it made a nice change to a Sunday morning

If you like fine dining in restaurants, you will love the experience aboard the Lady Florence. Excellent surroundings, food and crew. Everyone was really friendly and made my anniversary surprise a really unexpected treat. Definitely going again.

Not the cheapest of trips on the river and not the largest portions of food, but we enjoy it nontheless. Cosy dining room breaks the ice with the other guests and makes for a charming few hours cruising the river, eating good food and drinking good wine. This was our fourth trip on the Lady, and it was just as good as ever. We can't visit Suffolk without a trip on the Lady Florence

Years ago went on this trip many times. Now staff lacked personality and the commentary couldnt be heard for the noise of chatter.. Couldnt move as smokers onboard, this shouldnt be allowed.Food was ok and wines were highly priced..
All in all a very expensive and not very enjoyable experience

There should be an extra rating between "average" and "very good", i.e. "good", which is what I consider a fair award for this restaurant. We have chartered this boat three times for lunch cruises with friends or work colleagues. There is an informative commentary on points of interest. Lunch is wholesome, using local produce, and enjoyable - considering it is prepared for twelve diners in a very small galley. A fine day is a bonus to enjoy a glass or two on the after end while admiring the passing scenery, but it's still fun in drizzle and a stiff breeze!
