This was the second time we boarded the Lady Florence, the first time was Sunday lunch but this time we had a birthday celebration with four of us on the Saturday evening cruise. The service was excellent as before and the staff very friendly and the food excellent. How they do it in a small galley is amazing. And there is a menu with several choices. I had prebooked a vegetarian meal which was excellent. The wine flowed and a great time was had by all. The weather was warm but got a bit chilly as we were sailing into the wind All in all a 5 star experience yet again.

My husband and I experienced the Breakfast Brunch Cruise July 24th and it was excellent - an absolute joy. The food was great - you may say ' well it was breakfast so can't be hard' - well we have stayed in hotels where the breakfast wasn't good at all. On the Lady Florence the staff produced a feast from the tiny galley with nothing overlooked - the marmalade and jam seemed home-made served in perfect little glass jars; there was orange to greet us, then fruit and then the feast of a breakfast all served with warm toast and muffins. There were 10 of us to sit down in the cosy 'snug' and although joining as strangers it was a treat to chat to fellow travellers - a really nice group of people.
Out on deck after breakfast seemed ended, we were treated to more tea or coffee and hot apple pie and fresh cream and/ or muffins. Absolutely super. The staff were brilliant - we had a commentary from the skipper which gave us information about the area whilst we were travelling - just enough without it being intrusive. You can wander around the deck and take in different views and simply enjoy the scenery of the river estuary - views you may not normally get when walking.
The price was fine - other 'cruises' in the area are £8 for a 45min cruise with little to offer. I would thoroughly recommend the Lady Orford and when we return to the area will book again - looking forward to it already.....

The brunch cruise is really good value for money - it cost us just over £100 for four people for a two and a half hour boat trip and an excellent breakfast. Fine dining it's probably not but we had really good bacon, eggs, hash browns, tomatoes, endless coffee (decaff if you want it) followed, a short while later by spicy apple pie and chocolate muffins. All the food was home made, all the staff were friendly and fun. You can easily pay £8 to £10 for a 45 minute boat trip in this area so to have a really good home cooked breakfast thrown in seemed like good value to me. The website doesn't really do this justice - we had wonderful birds to see and there was a basking seal too.
All in all, one of the best things we did for our five day stay - and we'd come again.

4 of us went on a supper cruise recently- when we boarded we sat at to stern order our drinks and then got underway. We cruised for an hour up to Aldeburgh with an excellent commentary and plenty of bird watching.....we had an excellent view from the bow. Supper was good- it wasn't fancy but it was tasty- recommend duck and mackerel pate for starter and then suffolk pie and hand carved ham for main. Desert was OK- cheeseboard to share to be recommend. Chloe the hostess was attentive..... And organised. Just so you are aware all 12 guests sit round a square table altogether- it was cosy but we had a nice group (we obviously didn't know everyone but that was fun). People who don't like this set up would not enjoy it and if you used to fancy dining then this is probably not your thing! We had a great time- relaxed evening, drinks on deck, excellent views, good company.... Excellent staff- the skipper Sean gave a really good commentary and had a fun SOH. Would recommend not dressing up for the occasion- smart casual and take a fleece! (Some people were shivering!!!!).
Cost wise quite expensive but a great treat and worth doing on a lovely summers day. We think brunch would be nice!

We found this restaurant and river cruise and decided to email them on their web site. It was our 16 years wedding anniversary. we wanted a special evening with a wonderful dinner and river cruise? what did we get? Nothing! We emailed them again and eventually they emailed us back with times for us to choose and so we email them back, with our choice. That's was several days before the evening. Nothing, no email, no telephone confirmation NOTHING? We are busy people but we did phone them, but the telephone was not answered? So we instead stayed at home and had a very expensive bottle of Champagne.
