This is a first class mid-range hotel, conveniently located on the Lincoln by-pass with good enough sound attentuation to minimise traffic noise.
We stay here for around 8-10 nights a year.
The services are exactly what you would expect from an Ibis, the rooms are clean, the beds are very comfortable, the equipment works and the prices are cheap.
However the very best here is the superb staff for whom nothing is too much trouble.
During the winter, they were even clearing snow from around the parked cars.
Nothing else to say - highly recommended.
Thank you all.

Room Tip: Best cellphone reception is on the third floor at the westerly end of the building.

Looking back on it, it was quite a funny incident. But it was quite spooky and almost frightening at first.

I had been in the room for about half an hour, and was sitting at the desk in the main room when there was a crashing noise from either the corridor or the bathroom or an adjacent room. Actually it was a double crash one in quick succession after the first. I actually thought that someone may have been in my bathroom. So I was very careful when I looked into the bathroom. The support bracket supporting the shower had just on its own come loose from the wall and fell, then the shower head fell to the floor of the shower unit.

Room Tip: check all the electrics before you carry your luggage into the room.

Modern hotel on a business park with a large pub next door if the Ibis food and drink prices are too high.

Clean, basic and functional is how one could best describe this hotel. No problem parking, check-in was efficient, but I am wondering how many rooms actually have double glazed windows that (a) close properly and (b) shut out noise.

In three visits, three different rooms and the window have faults, and the fact that the A46 Lincoln bypass and a busy side road run by dont help if the window has gaps. Getting a room over the car park is not the answer given the construction workers who stay they and leave early.

Dont get me wrong, it's not that bad but could be better with little effort.

Had a pint and a meal, which was OK, even if the curry was pricer than my local Indian restaurant and I dont mean a takeaway.

I've never paid rack rate for the room, so you could argue I shouldn't quibble. It's a better option than the Travelodge down the road, and wise to avoid Lincoln town centre too, given the traffic problems. Would use again if push came to shove.

We stayed here for a family event (a) because it was cheap, £50 a night inc breakfast, (b) because it was near our party venue, (c) no other rooms available in central Lincoln.
My overall impression was that the Ibis was maybe just a tad above Travelodge/Premier Inn quality, it's location on a semi-business park location close to the busy A46 is indicative of the clientele it mostly attracts, back to the A46 later.
Fairly easy to find, plenty of parking, lobby was ok, bar open (but closes at 00:00 sharp !). Our room was on the 3rd floor, we had to ask for extra pillows and towels but reception were fine about this and i collected. Clean, bathroom basic but clean and functional, no complimentary toiletries.
No evening meals but a Frankie & Benny's Restaurant is a 30 second walk across the park as is a nearby pub/motel.
Quality of sleep was poor since we had a room above the main front doors, since there was no air-conditioning in the room we had to open the window (maximum 12 inches) and so every noise, conversation and drunken arrival into the hotel woke us up, not impressed. Closing the window we would have nearly suffocated !
On the Sunday morning there was persistent noise from the roadworks on the nearby A46, constant reverse warning beeps from about 7:45am onwards.
IF YOU WANT A PEACEFUL NIGHTS SLEEP HERE YOU CAN FORGET IT !!
Breakfast was ok, self-service, cooked options, only scrambled eggs but plenty of fruit cereals etc so no real complaints.
Bar was ok but closed at midnight on the dot.
Taxis into Lincoln were about £10-15 per leg.
Staff seemed relatively friendly and helpful, the young man on duty over Saturday night does need to get a sense of humour though !
Would i come back ? Well probably not, i would rather pay a bit more and stay more central but if its cheap and cheerful you want then this fits the bill.

Room Tip: Book a room at the back of the hotel, not front.

We were exhibiting at the Lincolnshire Showground and needed to book a hotel very last minute and this was the only one available. Paid £51 for a night and to be honest it was just a very standard hotel, the rooms were clean although the carpet was heavily stained and I'd say needed changing.
The bathroom was ok although there was a funny smell that really needed airing.
The male staff were very pleasant however the female staff seemed a
little up themselves. All in all for £51 i wouldn't have really expected more. It was a simple hotel that is ok if your not going to be spending much time in it.
